As 2025 comes to an end, I’ve been taking some time to look back at my Splinterlands journey this year. When the year began, I didn’t have a strict plan for where I wanted my account to go. I was just grinding battles, opening chests, and slowly building my deck. But as the months passed, I started to see real momentum. My collection grew, my strategies improved, and I began to understand the long‑term rhythm of the game. This year became one of steady growth, and I’m proud of the progress I’ve made through consistent progression.
One of the biggest changes for me in 2025 was adapting to the new Foundation card system. Campaigns became a regular part of my routine, and earning Soulbound Foundation cards through them gave me a sense of progression that didn’t rely on spending. By the time December rolled around, I had earned over 140 Soulbound Foundation cards, each one tied to the effort I put into clearing stages and improving my gameplay. These cards have become the backbone of my deck, and working through campaigns helped me appreciate the value of campaign progression.
Ranked battles also played a huge role in my growth this year. Through daily and seasonal chests, I earned more than 95 non‑Soulbound Foundation cards, which gave me flexibility to level up key splinters and strengthen my competitive lineup. These cards also gave me a way to participate in the economy without needing to invest heavily. Every season felt like an opportunity to add something meaningful to my collection, and even when I didn’t hit the ranks I wanted, I could still see steady improvement through ranked battle rewards.
Another area where I made real progress was in the Gladiator set. Thanks to brawls and guild participation, I managed to earn over 60 new Gladius cards this year. Some of them even reached new levels, giving me stronger options in battles where Bloodlust can completely turn the tide. Gladius cards have always felt special because they’re tied to guild effort, and seeing my collection grow there reminded me how important teamwork is in Splinterlands.
Looking back, I can see how much my mindset has changed. Early in the year, I was focused on short‑term gains — a few extra SPS here, a lucky chest there. But as the months passed, I started thinking more about the long game. I began stacking SPS more intentionally, paying attention to staking rewards, and planning how to use my resources instead of spending them impulsively. I also tracked my collection power more closely and identified which splinters needed the most attention. This shift toward long‑term planning helped me stay motivated, even during slower periods, and it shaped my end‑of‑year progression.
Now, as I look toward the final days of 2025, I’ve set a few goals for myself. I want to finish the year with a stronger deck across all splinters, not just the ones I rely on the most. I want to complete more campaigns and secure the remaining Soulbound Foundation cards I’ve been chasing. And I want to end the final season of the year with a ranking that reflects the effort I’ve put in. These goals aren’t about perfection; they’re about building momentum and setting myself up for a strong start in 2026.
Looking ahead to 2026, I’m already thinking about what I want to accomplish next. I want to expand my presence in the Splinterlands economy by earning more tradable cards and increasing my SPS holdings. I want to participate more actively in events and tournaments, something I didn’t do enough of this year. I also want to continue improving my gameplay, especially in higher mana battles where strategy becomes more complex. Most importantly, I want to keep building a collection that feels powerful, flexible, and ready for whatever new features the game introduces. The coming year feels full of potential, and I’m excited to see how far I can go with future growth and opportunity.
If 2025 was the year I found my footing, then 2026 will be the year I start climbing with purpose. I’ve learned a lot, earned a lot, and built a foundation I’m proud of. Now it’s time to take everything I’ve gained and push myself even further. Splinterlands continues to evolve, and so do I. Here’s to another year of battles, rewards, and steady progress.
Until next time thanks for reading!!!

I have plenty of other cards for rent! Just go on peakmonsters and check out the market place and if you are curious what I offer here is a link:

Good luck. I haven't been building my deck much outside of the Foundational cards because I think they will survive when the modern fights change the usable decks.
I am setting the bar high for myself but as of now I am in agreement with you on foundation cards only. Until legacy cards have strong reasons to be buys I’ll hold off.
