In the Splinterlands white paper there are links to teach users how to earn crypto beyond playing the game. Part of that is blogging on the Hive platform. I do not know how many know about this method of earning, but I am proof that it is very useful in terms of accumulating Splinterlands assets.

Beyond the play to earn this method is write to earn. Splinterlands have a supporting group and account to boost engagement of related game posts on Hive and over the years I have earn multiple dollars of upvotes. The gains I receive would in turn be swap into DEC or SPS to build up my Splinterlands collection.

In addition players who write posts can associate their posts to specific groups such as splintertalk.io. That way they can earn more tokens beyond that of Hive.

Example linked post from almost five years ago is me discussing prices of assets in Splinterlands and how I was growing my account. In present day I remain present and engaging among fellow bloggers on the platform mostly regarding to Splinterlands.
If you have enough time, you can pretty much post about anything you enjoy and still have a chance at earning strong upvotes from whales. That approach has worked for me in the past and continues to work today. Lately, though, I’ve been adjusting how I invest my rewards. Instead of immediately converting everything, I’ve started reinvesting most of my earned Hive into growing my Hive Power. My hope is that this will generate more Hive over time, giving me a larger pool to eventually swap into additional Splinterlands assets.
Before this shift, I used to convert Hive straight into DEC and then into Splinterlands cards. But as card prices increased, my rewards bought less and less. Rather than chasing numbers, I decided it made more sense to build up a larger liquidity base first so I could make bigger, more meaningful purchases later. The decline in asset values was tough to navigate, which is what pushed me toward this temporary detour.
Now that I’ve accumulated more Hive Power, I’m seeing a better return on investment than I would have if I had kept buying cards nonstop. That said, I still believe Splinterlands cards will appreciate in value over time, which is why the majority of my holdings remain in cards. This new approach simply gives me more flexibility and a stronger foundation for future growth.
Until next time thanks for reading!!!
