DEC Burn Baby Burn

The follow stats in this post is from https://land.spl-stats.com/resource/tradehub so much appreciation goes to the developers of the site. Yesterday I was focusing on the Hive to DEC ratio and what potential gains I could get from the rise of DEC. Today I saw DEC went up over 0.01 Hive.

As of now it fell slightly lower than 0.01 Hive but this morning I was able to swap some DEC to Hive. Although I wish I had waited until now have swap my other transactions earlier.

As of now the accumulative DEC burned is over 600k DEC. Equate that in terms of current DEC to $ value it is $3,700. This is from January 2025 thru current date of February 2026. I was surprise it was not a lot. This may entail that not a lot of transactions occurred relative to buys and sells hence the lack amount of DEC burned relative to dollars.

In the chart it is also interesting to notice around December 2025 there was significant DEC transfers. The only thing that I found that could have made players spend a lot would be the Winter Fest 2025.

From this small sample I would still believe the amount of DEC being burned can increase if there are more Splinterlands sales. Winter fest seem to be successful but having more of them would dramatically burn more DEC with further sales. Will this happen? It definitely will help boost DEC prices which in turn could help DEC to Hive ratio.

Another point to make is that current last few days remaining for Conclave official packs sales has yet to really show a lot of DEC burn happening. This would likely be limited in DEC burned because there are not a ton of packs remaining. It still will be interesting to watch in the long run with how much DEC is being burned.
