Not a month ago I remember DEC was close to peg. As of now it’s 10% off peg which is effecting a lot of Splinterland’s asset prices. In turn I am trying to see if there is potential opportunities to invest into more cards and continue growing my collection.
Splitercard’s estimated total of for a max Chaos set is down to $1400s which to me is near it’s all time lows. The thought is I can potentially get enough to have a max set. Though the months I have been accumulating Chaos so what better time than now. In addition I can compete in modern matches with more Chaos.
Speaking of modern format it would be naive of me to not realize even if current Splinterland’s assets prices are down the latest set Rebellion is still running at high values relative to their burn rate. I need to consider with modern matches the Rebellion cards will be showing up more often than not.
A max Rebellion set present value is still over $6k. That is a lot for the newest set and I am likely not going to build Rebellion cards even now. This would handicap me in modern as I can’t compete among players that have Rebellion.
With a buildup of Chaos I can still fairly compete in Wild format. Drawing there is less rewards and come April 2 with the latest updates which likely will be even more of a drop. Bottom line is I am still going to be a buyer at this time as assets prices are falling. The main reason is I want to stay competitive and earn more rewards.
Come April 2 what will you be preparing to do? Continue playing with what you have? Sell some cards to lower your vested interest in the game? Or buy more to increase your chances to yield more?
Until next time thanks for reading!!!
I have plenty of other cards for rent! Just go on peakmonsters and check out the market place and if you are curious what I offer here is a link:
I think it's going to be some time before we recover from this dip. Maybe 2 weeks when the burning event happens or maybe a few months when land 1.6 or whatever finally gets released.
I like many are getting pretty tired of this company and I hate to say that. But we got land 1.5 and then nothing... What was said would be a quick roll out into land 2.0 has now taken over over 3 months going on 4 like wtf.
There's still MASSIVE over inflation of cards and everything else that simply needs to be comped away at and that's not going to happen over night.
The Rebellion cards been holding up very well resource to its initial rollout. This is a good sign even if cards are oversupply the values have been holding up. Legacy sets on the other hand seem to be free fall. I try to think I am buying low and one day sell high.
I am planning to just play with what I have. I was thinking about moving over to Wild but I might have to see if modern works out better with these changes.
In modern I assume you earning decent amount of rewards?
My rewards are quite low right now. I have seen a few others in wild earning more but maybe things will change after glint.

Buying the dip is actually the best bet right now
Unfortunately, some of us do not have enough funds to buy the dip…
That’s where I save for a while until I have enough to invest into.
I think I am going to buy the dip.
