I hope all of you are doing well in life and enjoying a vibrant day with your family and friends. For those who onboarded in this Hive blockchain because of the Splinterlands game or stayed in here because of the crazy community, I am sure you all are having a good time in Hive playing games, posting blogs or short threads about it and getting rewarded in Hive, HBD and other great tokens like Leo, SPT or Neoxag etc. Now taking a look at the ongoing ranked season, we still have another 3 days remaining for this current season to meet its end, so clearly there’s not enough time for anyone to have their goals yet to be achieved. So, whatever plans you have made for this season, either to reach a certain league tier or secure a spot in the Champion leaderboard, I hope you reach there before the season reset, and beware of the season end bloodbath, as most of the players get active this time, so quickly throwing lineups won’t help you at all. Now taking a look at my own stats, right now I am sitting at the Diamond I league tier with a current trophy rating of 3,600 and would still need another 100 trophies to reach my goal Champion League. With only 3 more days left, let’s see if I can reach there in time or Lose it all.
Now moving forward, let me come to the main topic of this blog post as today, I have another little monster from the Rebellion edition to showcase in front of you all. As you have already seen in the thumbnail Above, today I will be talking about the UJURAK ELDER. So, if you are interested, let’s take a dive without any further ado.
UJURAK ELDER is a monster type splinterlands card that was introduced in this game with the launch of Reward edition cards and it falls under the Rebellion edition card set. This monster card belongs to the Neutral element, so you can easily choose this card while choosing any element and also, its attack type is magic. It only costs 3 mana to be used in battles, so you can put this little card in your lineup when playing small to medium mana limit matches, or the ones with Little Leagues ruleset, like I did in today’s following match. By rarity, it is a common type card, so will need a total of 400 BCXs of cards to upgrade it to max level. Now apart from a decent magic attack at average speed and weak health, the speciality of this monster is that it comes with a very useful combo of 4 abilities at max level, which I am going to talk about later in this post. Let us now take a deeper look into this card’s league wise stats and abilities below to find out more.
BRONZE
At level 3, this monster card possesses a weak stats of 1 magic attack power at 1 speed with 2 health. But as it gets the Camouflage ability since its initial level and the Divine Shield from Level 3 onwards, both the abilities make it up well For its weak stats. With the help of the Camouflage ability, this card can not be targeted if it is not in the first place, on the other hand, the Divine Shield ability Will ignore all damages once and will then get broken, saving you from the first incoming attack.
SILVER
As you collect enough Glint points to get this monster upgraded to level 5, then this card possesses the se stats as of its previous level - 1 magic attack power at 1 speed with 2 health. But it does get a new and very useful Ability called Strengthen. With the help of this ability, now every friendly monster will have +1 max health. GOLD When this monster gets upgraded to level 8, it receives an increased stat of 1 magic attack power at 3 speed with 3 health along with those 3 abilities that I mentioned above. Though it does not get any new ability at this level, its increased speed and health stats will help you well in battles.
DIAMOND / CHAMPION
Finally when you upgrade this card to its max level of 10, there also it’s stats remain the same as its previous league - 1 magic attack at 3 speed with 3 health. But to make it look balanced, it does get a new ability at its max level called Swift. After increasing all friendly monster’s health, now this ability will increase their lax speed by +1. So clearly, using and keeping this monster alive will definitely help your other cards with more stats.
This time I received a small 15 mana limit match where, there were only 3 elements allowed to choose from - Fire, Earth and Dragon. There were also 3 rulesets applied in this battle such as - Wands Out (Only magic monsters can be selected in this match), Tis But Scratches (all monsters get the Cripple ability) and Little League (only monsters with 4 or less mana cost can be used in this battle). So, after looking at all these rules and limitations, I started thinking of an appropriate lineup. After thinking a little, I just decided to keep my faith in Doctor Blight and then started building my battle lineup accordingly.
For this match, first of all, I chose the Legendary Dragon summoner Quix the Devious with Earth element then selected the Ujurak at the front position of my lineup followed by the Venari Spellsmith and the Doctor Blight at the end position. Anyway, later when both the lineups were revealed, I found out that my opponent had used the Earth summoner Obsidian that gives +1 magic attack Buff and at his front position, he chose the Blackmoor Nymph, Ujurak Elder and Doctor Blight at the end position. Both of us have chosen Doctor Blight at the rearmost position and have used 2 monsters in front of it to defend against attacks as long as possible before they reach the Doctor. But while I focused on Spellsmith’s attack power more and chose the Ujurak in front of it, the opponent may have thought otherwise and reversed the formation in his case,
As the battle began, at the very first level, my Doctor Blight killed the wounded Blockmoor Nymph, followed by the enemy Doctor Blight who killed down my Ujurak. Then my Spellsmith attacked and reduced the enemy Ujurak’s max health to 2, but the enemy Doctor Blight attacked and killed down my Spellsmith, followed by its 1 Redemption damage which killed down the enemy Ujurak and now, only the Doctor Blight is alive on the opponent’s side. But I quickly took care of that with my Doctor and after applying poison on the enemy Doctor, I took it Down faster than it could and thus, at just round 3, I won another amazing match and earned some more SPS and Glint points on my way.
