Splinterlands | This Ninja Monkey costs just 1 mana

(edited)

What’s up my fellow Splinterlands players!

I hope all of you are enjoying this amazing day with your family and friends and also playing this awesome game in your free time daily. For those who play Splinterlands daily like me, I guess you are right now busy working on your seasonal goals because, only around 7 days left for this ongoing ranked season to end and we must reach our goals before that, or the season will meet its end and your trophy rating will get a reset. Now looking at me, right now I am playing at the Diamond I league tier with a trophy rating of 3,520 and would have to score 180 more to reach the Champion III tier, which is my goal for every ranked season. However, as I was playing today in the ranked format, it was already hard to move up as I was losing more matches than usual. The OG players seem to have arrived at the arena already while there’s still a week left because, normally the bloodbath begins in the last 2-3 days. Anyway, to stay on the safe side I am thinking of trying my best and touching the Champion League as soon as possible and claiming the Champion League Tier reward chests. Let’s see how it goes.

Now, moving forward to the main topic of this post, today I will be talking about another amazing Rebellion card and as you have already seen it in the thumbnail above, today I will be discussing about the ENDLESS GIBBON. So if you are interested, let’s jump in without any further ado.

Endless Gibbon

ENDLESS GIBBON is a monster type card that comes under the latest Rebellion edition card set and this card got added to the game with the launch of the latest edition Reward edition card set. This monster card belongs to the Water element and it is a legendary type card, so you will need a total of 11 BCXs of cards to upgrade it to max level. The main advantage of this card is its mana cost, as you can use this card in your lineup by spending only 1 mana cost. So basically you can use this card while playing literally any mana limit match from the lowest to the highest, though it will be generally useful in low mana limit matches. The attack type of this card is melee and apart from a good attack power and a decent amount of speed and health, this also carries an ability which I will be discussing later on. Now let us take a further look into this card’s league-wise stats and abilities below.

BRONZE

At level 1, this card possesses only 1 melee attack at 2 speed with 2 health and also gets the Reach ability since its initial level. With this ability, this monster can throw attacks while at the second position of the lineup. So just place it behind your first defensive card and it will start doing its job.

SILVER

When this card reaches level 2, it gets the same 1 melee attack at 2 speed but with an increased 3 health. However, it does not get any new abilities at this level.

GOLD

As you get this card to its next level 3, it receives the same 1 melee attack and 3 health but with an increased 3 speed. But sadly, it does not have any new abilities at this level as well.

DIAMOND / CHAMPION

Finally, when you upgrade this monkey card to its max level 4, it gets the most important update by increasing its melee attack power to 2 with the same 3 speed and 3 health as of its previous level. Though it does not receive any new abilities even at its max level, its 2 melee attack will serve you well and remember, it comes for just 1 mana cost.

BATTLE STAT

It was a small 20 mana limit match where every element except Earth was allowed to choose and there were also 3 rulesets applied in this match - Up Close and Personal ( only melee monsters can be used), Armoured Up ( All monsters get +2 armor) and Earthquake (non-flying monster will receive 2 melee damage at the end of every round). After looking at all the rules and limits, I started thinking and came out with a strategy to use sneak monsters to attack my opponent and as it was obvious my opponent would also use sneak or opportunity monsters, I thought to place the Orc at my last position to counter both types of attacks.

So as thought, I started building my lineup and used the Kelya Ferendul as my summoner and at my first place, I chose the Halfling Refugee followed by the Endless Gibbon, Venator Kinjo, Uraeus, Pelacor Bandit and the Dumacke Orc at the last position of my lineup. My plan is to do the most damage to enemy melee cards via the Thorns ability of Orc and coupled with the Amplify ability from Kinjo which will together do 3 Thorns damage.

When both the lineups were revealed, I saw that my opponent had used the Dragon summoner Helios Matriarch with Water monsters and at the first place he also chose the Halfling Refugee followed by the Isgald Vorst, Vruz, Pelacor Bandit, Uraeus and the Torrent Fiend at the last position.

Anyway, as the match started, my sneak monsters killed down the Fiend and also the enemy monsters were receiving 3 Thorns damages whenever they were attacking my Orc. My Orc even killed down the enemy Pelacor Bandit in the first round with Retaliate. In the second round after both sides received Earthquake damage, I killed his Uraeus and the enemy card Vruz died via Thorns damage from my Orc. The enemy Vorst then killed down my Orc but before dying, my Orc damaged it with both Thorns and Retaliate and left it with only 1 health and then my Uraeus applied poison upon it. Both my Refugee and Gibbon attacked the enemy Refugee and killed it down and the only monster left on the enemy side was the Vorst which also got taken care of with the next Earthquake damage (even if no earthquake it would be dead from the poison anyway) and thus, I won another amazing match.

I hope you loved watching the battles that I shared above and also liked reading my battle post. Let me know if you also hold a Gibbon and use it in small mana limit battles in the comment section below and I will be seeing you all in my next post.

I wish you all good luck with all of your future Splinterlands matches.

I'm increasingly surprised by the new Rebellion creatures, which are outperforming the higher-cost creatures from past collections.
Very good post.
