Hello Splinterlands fam!

I guess all of you are doing fine in life and enjoying this awesome brainstorming game in your free time on a daily basis. Now, for those who care actively playing in this ranked season, we have only a week left before this ongoing ranked season meets its end, so whatever goals you are chasing right now, either to sneak into a league tier or to claim a glorious spot in the champion leaderboard, be sure to finish that task as soon as possible and before the season end bloodbath starts. Now, on the other hand, on top of all the recent updates and cards that were being introduced recently into the game, the game has once again appeared with a maintenance update on the first date of this July. With this maintenance update, they have rectified some bugs and also brought new updates, all of which you can easily check by visiting their official discord servers. This update batch includes one important gameplay update, as from now on, automatic draws will no longer occur when identical teams are used if tactical summoners have different tactics selected, which was a needy one to enhance FairPlay.

Now moving on, let me come to the main topic of this post, as today, I will be discussing an amazing and powerful monster and as you have already seen it in the thumbnail above, today I will be shedding some light upon the Flame For Hire. So, if you are interested, let’s take a dive without any further ado.

FLAME FOR HIRE

FLAME FOR HIRE is a monster type card that was first introduced in the game with the launch of the Conclave Arcana edition card set. This monster belongs to the Fire element and it comes from the Djinn bloodline. It is a rare type of card, so you will need a total of 115 BCX cards in order to upgrade this monster to its max level. This monster costs only 5 mana to be used in battles, so you can easily select this card in your lineup while playing medium to large mana limit matches. The attack type of this monster is magic and apart from a decent attack power, this monster also holds a good health bar with average speed but no armour on its back. Not only that, but it also carries 3 abilities at its max level - which I am going to talk about below. Let us now take a further look at its league wise stats to find out more.

BRONZE

This monster starts with a 1 magic attack power but as soon as it reaches level 2, its magic attack gets increased to 2 with 2 speed and 4 health along with the void ability that it receives from its initial level. As this monster gets the Void ability since its first level, it becomes a very good choice against magic attackers since beginning.

VOID - Monsters with this ability receive 50% less damage (rounded up) from magic attackers or 0 damage from magic attacks of 1 power.

SILVER

When this monster gets upgraded to level 4, its stats get increased further, as it gets 2 magic attack at 2 speed with an increased 5 health. On top of it, it also receives another ability called Painforge, which is one of the most popular newest abilities launched with the Conclave Arcana edition card set. This ability will help this monster to gain more attack power under certain conditions as mentioned below and increase your overall firepower.

PAINFORGE - Monsters with this ability get +1 power when damaged by Poisoned or Burning or by an ally.

GOLD

When you upgrade this monster card to level 6, it receives a further increased stats of 3 magic attack at 3 speed with 5 health along with those 2 abilities that I mentioned above. Though it does not get any new abilities, its increased 3 magic attack power will be enough to help you attack and defend with just this one Flame for Hire card.

DIAMOND / CHAMPION

Finally, when you upgrade this monster card to its max level of 8, it receives the same 3 magic attack power at 3 speed with an increased 6 health and not only that, but it also receives a brand new ability at its max level called Stun. So by the time it reaches max level, this monster really looks like a beast worthy to be used in battles.

STUN - Monsters with this ability have a 50% chance to apply Stunned for one round after a successful attack. Stunned units skip their turn and can not retaliate.

As you can clearly see, this monster at max level holds a big 6 health bar at a decent 3 speed, so it will attack comparatively faster and can also endure multiple small attacks before going down. On top of its stats, the combo of those 3 abilities that I mentioned also enhances its power way more and makes this monster defensive and powerful against magic monsters. So overall, I think this 5 mana rare monster card reserves a place in your splinterlands card collection. What do you think?

I hope you enjoyed reading my post about FLAME FOR HIRE card above. Please let me know your thoughts about this monster in the comments section below, and I look forward to seeing you all in my next post.
