What’s up my fellow Splinterlands players!

I hope all of you are guys are spending a bright and fresh day with your family and friends and also enjoying playing this game on a daily basis and growing your progress in the game. If you are a regular player of this strategic card game then you must have noticed that currently, only 4 days left for this ongoing ranked season to end, so whatever your goals are for this season - either it is to reach a certain league tier or to secure a place in the champion top leaderboard, I hope you all are working hard on it right now. For me I am currently playing at Diamond I with a total trophy count of 3,620 and would need another 60 trophies only to reach the Champion League and have another 4 days in hand, I think it will be easy this time to reach my goal. But we all know how difficult it becomes to play and win during the last 2 days as most of the players become very active around this time and the arena becomes a bloodbath. So, let's see how it goes while I try to reach there as soon as possible.

Now moving forward, let me come to the main topic of this post as today, allow me to showcase another amazing Splinterlands monster with you all and as you have already seen in the thumbnail above, today I will be talking about LORD THANALOR with you all. So, if you guys are interested, let's take a dive without any further ado.

Lord Thanalor

LORD THANALOR is a monster type card that came into existence in the game with the launch of the Rebellion edition and it falls under the Rebellion core card set. This monster belongs to the Earth element and it costs a whopping 12 mana to be used in battles, so you can generally use this card while playing high mana limit matches. It is a legendary type card, so you will need a total of 11 BCXs of cards to upgrade it to max level. The attack type of this card is Magic and apart from a good magic attack, it also comes with a good speed and a high defensive combo of armour + health along with 3 abilities which I will be talking about later in this post. Let us now take a further look at this card’s league-wise stats and abilities to find out more.

BRONZE

At level 1, this monster possesses 3 magic attack at 4 speed with 2 armour and 10 health and it also gets the Amplify ability since its initial level. With the help of Amplify ability, whenever an enemy monster gets damaged by Thorns, Magic Reflect or Return Fire, this monster can increase that damage by 1. However, please note that having multiple monsters with the Amplify ability doesn't stack or increase that damage.

SILVER

When this monster reaches level 2, it gets the same stats as of its previous level - 3 attack power at 4 speed with 2 armour and 10 health. But at this level, it gets a new ability called Scavenger with which, each time a monster dies on the battlefield its max health gets increased by 1.

GOLD

As you upgrade this monster to level 3, even here all of its stats remain the same - 3 magic attack power at 4 speed with 2 armour and 10 health but gladly, at this level also it receives a new ability called Rust. With this newly added ability, this mobster can now remove 2 armour from each enemy monster.

DIAMOND / CHAMPION

Finally, when you upgrade this monster to its max level of 4, it finally receives a stats increment with an increased 4 magic attack power at 4 speed with 2 armour and 10 health. However, it does not get any new ability at this level.

BATTLE STAT

This time I received a large 99 mana limit match where only 1 element Earth was allowed to choose and there was also only 1 ruleset applied in this match - Equal Opportunity (all monsters get the Opportunity ability). So after looking at the rules, as only 1 element was allowed and all monsters had the opportunity ability, I was sure my opponent might use melee monsters against me, so I also started building my lineup accordingly.

For this match, I chose the Earth legendary summoner Eternal Tofu and at the first position of my lineup, I chose the Lord Thanalor followed by Arkemis the Bear, Mantaroth, Uloth Dhampir, Runemancer Florre and Mycelic Slipspawn at the end position. When both the lineups were revealed, I saw that my opponent had also used the same Eternal Tofu summoner and at his front position, he chose Arkemis the Bear followed by Mantaroth. Riklauniman, Venari Marksrat, Runemancer Florre and the Grimbardun Fighter at the end position.

As the battle began, all my monsters started attacking the Marksrat while the enemy monsters targeted my Mycelic Slipspawn. My Runemancer Florre attacked first and with its dual attack, it killed down the marksrat within the first round and then my Uloth killed down the Bear. My bear then took down the Riklauniman and at round 2, the Uloth again killed another monster the enemy Runemancer Florre. Next, my Lord Thanalor finally got its first kill by taking down the enemy Mantaroth and then only 1 monster was alive in the opponent’s lineup the Grimbardun and it also got taken care of by my Arkemis and thus, I won another amazing match.
