Splinterlands Kelan Gaines | The Last Rebellion Card in Voucher Sale

(edited)

Hello Readers,

Well, the Rebellion pack sale is long gone by now and the next card set, Conclave Arcana is also getting ready to be launched. But in between these, another Exclusive sale just went live and guess what, it is the last card ever from the Rebellion edition. So get ready Splinterlands players, because the long-awaited Kelan Gaines is finally launched on March 18th and is now live for sale in the official shop. This powerful monster is a dual element Death/Dragon unit, so this card will be available if you choose summoners from any of those 2 elements. Now, not only this card is a rare card that wasn't included in packs or distributed earlier, but it is also the last Voucher Card of the Rebellion card set. The sale amount is limited as usual, and once Kelan sale is finished, you won’t see another Rebellion Voucher Card getting launched again.

Kelan Artwork

As I have seen the artwork of the Kelan Gaines’s card, I am really impressed with the work and can guarantee that all of you will tell me that this is no ordinary fighter card. As the art shows, he is a fierce male figure radiating purple and golden energy from his hands and body. The artist very carefully worked to match his unique blend of necromantic and dragon magic into the character. His attacking stance and war-face expression are about a veteran warrior, who is ready to perform deadly strikes from the shadows. Behind him, the endless darkness lurks, which proves his connection to Grandmaster Rathe’s secret network, while making it very clear that Kelan is both powerful and merciless.

Why Kelan Gaines?

Is Kelan really worth spending your money, while there is Conclave Arcana is coming soon and will be listed for pre-sale soon in the future. Well, I think Kelan is not just another fighter in your collection, because seeing his ability combo, he is surely a tactical genius. This card is packed up with 4 abilities - Snipe for backline strikes, Phase to dodge magical attacks, Backfire to punish enemies who miss their target on it and finally Double Strike for two attacks back to back in one turn. In short, Kelan has the potential to bring an unpredictable edge to any battle. He costs a total of 8 Mana to summon in battles, but hopefully, this cost largely pays off when you see him striking through your opponent’s lineup. Let us now see this card’s league wise stats and abilities below.

Bronze League

Attack - 2
Speed - 5
Health - 6
Abilities - Snipe, Phase

When it reaches Level 2, Kelan gains enough speed to outperform slower monsters, while Snipe targets the weak backline monsters, the Phase keeps magic thrower enemies on their toes. Even in the Bronze League, he is already a threat to weak and vulnerable backline units and can dodge more magical attacks as well.

Silver League

Attack - 2
Speed - 5
Health - 7
Abilities - Snipe, Phase, Backfire

By the time it reaches Level 5, Kelan’s power ramps up further. He now hits and moves the same, but comes with more health bar. He has also gained Backfire - an amazing ability that returns damage to enemy cards with 2 melee damage when they fail to land a hit on this card. This Phase + Backfire makes Kelan a fantastic counter to teams relying on mostly Magic attackers.

Gold League

Attack - 3
Speed - 5
Health - 9
Abilities: Snipe, Phase, Backfire

When you upgrade your card to the Gold League, the Kelan’s attack increases by 1 and health increases as well, but its speed continues to remain the same. With Backfire + Phase ability still in play along with his improved stats, he is more dangerous than his previous levels. So no matter if you place him in the front defensive place or use him at midline to pressure backline threats, Kelan can surprise you with multiple different strategies.

Diamond/Champion

Attack - 3
Speed - 6
Health - 9
Abilities - Snipe, Phase, Backfire and Double Strike

Finally, when you upgrade him to his max level, Kelan unlocks its Double Strike ability, allowing him to attack twice in a single turn and you can imagine the level of destruction it brings down at max level. With his high attack power and flashy high speed, he can tear through enemy defenses and become usable even in the toughest matches at the top leagues.

The Kelan Lore

As per Kelan’s official story, he is not just a skilled warrior, but he is actually an undercover agent, who possesses special necromantic and dragon magic. kelan is loyal to his Grandmaster Rathe’s secret mission and his amulet holds the flesh of an ancient wyrm, which powers his ability to command both life and death. Well known both as a master manipulator and an enforcer, Kelan has placed himself into the highest circles of Mothrook Goathelm and proved the fact that knowledge and cunning can be just as lethal as brute strength.

Final Chance on Kelan

Last but not least, before you move on to focusing on the upcoming conclave arcana set and prepare your funds, just think that monster is going to stay with us in modern formats until the card set afterward Conclave launches. With unmatched power with better evade abilities, this monster is a powerhouse for medium to high mana limit matches. So, do not let this opportunity slip away and if you have any spare vouchers left, try to secure the Kelan Gaines while you can. Believe it or not, but the next Big card in the magic thrower category is here, and it’s time to decide if you want to taste its raw power or Be ready facing it in the battlefield.

I hope you enjoyed reading my post about Kelan Gaines, The Last Rebellion Card. I am also thinking of buying one Kelan, but I will be losing almost all my saved vouchers. Anyway, please let me know your plan with Kelan in the comment section below, and I look forward to seeing you all in my next post.

I have checked Kelan card and this is a good one to have. I don't have enough vouchers to buy atm but later I will try to buy from market or rent if rental is reasonable. You have explained about it nicely.
