Splinterlands | HARBINGER OF CHAOS is a High Powered Magic Attacker

(edited)

What’s up my fellow Splinterlands players!

I hope all of you are doing well in your life and also enjoying a vibrant weekend with your family and friends. But if you are a crypto enthusiast, most probably you are also keeping an eye on the crypto market and anticipating the altcoin bull run, especially with Hive which has come down a bit from its recent high value of 0.65$ and is right now being traded for 0.438$ per unit. Now, if you are a splinterlands player and enjoying battling in this game on a daily basis, then I guess you have already started your journey in this ongoing ranked season and if we look at the timer, we still have almost 12 days left before this season meets its end, so let us progress slowly and gradually through the trophy ladder and collect SPS and Glint point rewards in meantime. Looking at myself, I have also started playing this season already and right now I am sitting at the Diamond I league tier with a current trophy count of 3,480. From here, I would need another 220 more trophies in order to reach my goal, which is to enter the Champion League. Let’s see how fast I can enter there this season.

Moving forward, let me now come to the main topic of this post as today, I will be talking about another awesome monster card and as you have already seen in the thumbnail above, today I will be showcasing the HARBINGER OF CHAOS. So, if you are interested, let’s take a dive without any further ado.

Harbinger of Chaos

HARBINGER OF CHAOS is a monster type card that was introduced in splinterlands with the release of the newest Rebellion edition and this card comes under the core Rebellion card set. This monster belongs to the Life element and its attack type is magic. It costs 8 mana to be used in baes, so you can choose this monster in your lineup when playing medium to high mana limit matches. It is an Epic type card, so you will need a total of 46 BCXs of cards in order to upgrade this card to its maximum level. Now apart from a good magic attack at a decent speed and large health, this monster also brings two very useful defensive abilities at its max level which I am about to talk about later in this post. Let us now take a further look at its league-wise stats and abilities to find out more about this card.

BRONZE

At level 2, this monster possesses decent stats of 3 magic attack power at 2 speed with 8 health and it also gets the Divine Shield ability which it has received since its initial level. With this Divine Shield ability, this monster will ignore the first damage on it, after which the Divine Shield will get destroyed.

SILVER

As this monster card gets upgraded to level 3, it receives a slightly increased stats of 3 magic attack power at an increased 3 speed with 8 health and it also gets a new ability at this level called Immunity. With the help of this new ability, this monster will be immune from magic debuffs and Cripple ability.

GOLD

When you upgrade this monster to level 5, it receives a further increased stats of 4 magic attack power at 3 speed with 9 health. Though it does not get any new abilities, its increased magic attack power and health will surely help you in battles.

DIAMOND / CHAMPION

Finally, when you upgrade this monster to its max level of 6, it then possesses the same 4 magic attack power at 3 speed with an increased 10 health along with those 2 abilities that I mentioned above. Though this monster does not get any new abilities even at its max level, its high-powered magic attack will help you to kill down enemy cards faster while its large heath can be utilized to defend against multiple attacks.

BATTLE STATS

This time I got a large 46 mana limit match where there were 4 elements allowed to choose from - Water, Life, Death and Dragon. Also, there was only 1 ruleset applied in this battle called Broken Arrow in this match. This ruleset will ban the use of any ranged monsters in this battle. So, after looking at all these rules and limits, I started thinking about an effective lineup to lose my opponent and after a little brainstorming, I decided to use magic attackers for this match and set traps for enemy melee cards. So as thought, I started building my lineup accordingly.

For this match, first of all, I selected the legendary dual summoner Eternal Tofu and at the first position of my lineup, I chose the Grimbardun Smith followed by Dax Paragon, Harbinger of Chaos, Iziar, Olivia of the Brook and the Adelade Brightwing at the last position of my lineup. Anyway, when both the lineups were revealed later, I found out that my opponent had used the dual legendary summoner Cryptic and at his front position, he chose the Djinn Oshannus followed by Baakjira, Daarg Deadblast, Daigendark Surveyor, Venka the Vile and the Anasth Soothsayer at the end position of his lineup.

As the battle began, all the backline enemy monsters started targeting my Iziar while my monster started attacking the Oshannus. In the first round, first, the Daigendark applied poison on my Iziar and then, the Daarg killed it down. But thanks to my Adelade, it got resurrected again and also gave more stats to its adjacent monsters. Then in round 2, the enemy Venka launched a brutal attack and again killed down my Iziar and then again attacked the Olivia using its Trample, but the Venka also died after this due to getting Throns damage several times. Then, my Olivia attacked the Daarg and wounded it down to 2 health, followed by my Grimbardun who died at the beginning of round 3 due to the Poison effect. Next, the enemy Anasth easily killed my wounded Dax Paragon followed by my Olivia who killed won the Daarg this time and again killed won the Daigendark at round 4. At the beginning of round 5, the enemy Djinn killed down my Harbinger and then, the match started getting slow as the enemy monsters could not kill down my Olivia, as by now it had gained 15 abilities, and was reviving every round using the Heal and Cleanse ability. Finally, when the Fatigue rounds started, the enemy monsters died before my Olivia as, by now it had gained a whopping 21 abilities and thus, I won this amazingly amazing match.

I hope you loved watching the Splinterlands battle with HARBINGER OF CHAOS that I shared above and liked reading my battle post. Let me know your thoughts in the comment section below and I will be seeing you all in my next post.

I think Daxs amplifier is another key thing. Otherwise the thorn damage couldn't have taken out the Vanka.
Damn!! That cards strong.

🔥 What a great breakdown of Harbinger of Chaos! 🎯 The mana cost seems absolutely worth it when matched with the right summoner. Do you have a favorite combo with it? I'm considering pairing it with a heavy debuff team to really shake things up! 💡

Thanks for sharing, @mango-juice! GG and keep those amazing Splinterlands posts coming. 💪 From one summoner to another, see you in the arena! ⚔️
