I hope all of you are doing well in your life and spending a fresh and energetic day with your family and friends. For those who play splinterlands on a daily basis, I guess all of you are pretty busy right now and all focused in the battle arena. Right now as we can see in the ranked section, there are only a few 21 hours left for this ongoing ranked Season to end, and after that, all of our hard-earned trophies will get reset as well as our our playing league. So whatever goals you have set for yourself this season, either to enter a certain league tier or secure a spot in the champ leaderboard, I hope you have reached it already and if not, then it is time to push harder. Now talking about myself, this season also I had set the same goal of reaching the Champion League and gladly, I have achieved that somehow already but soon got kicked out and demoted to dIamond for losing matches back to back. Right now, I am playing in the Diamond I league tier with a current trophy count of 3,620. I still have an almost full battle energy bar so I would just try playing some more matches before the season ends and let’s see if I can earn a bit more SPS and Glint points.
Now moving forward, let me come to the main topic of this post as today, I will be talking about another amazing splinterlands card with you all. As you have already guessed from the thumbnail above, today I will be showing the wild beast of the splinter forest, ENDLESS APE. So, if you are interested, let’s take a dive without any further ado.
ENDLESS APE is a monster type card that was launched in the game with the previous edition reward cards and this card comes under the Rebellion edition. This monster belongs to the Earth element and its attack type is melee. It costs 8 mana to use this card in battles, so you may select this card when playing medium to large mana limit matches. It is a common type card, which means you will need a total of 400 BCXs of cards to upgrade this monster to its maximum level. Now, apart from a good melee attack at a decent speed with a good combo of armour + health, this monster also comes with 2 abilities which I am going to discuss below. Let now now take a look at its league wise stats and abilities to find out more about this card.
BRONZE
At level 3, this monster card possesses 2 melee attack at 2 speed with 2 armour and 11 health and it also gets an ability called Scavenger since its initial level. With this ability, every time a monster dies on the battlefield, the maximum health of this monster increases by 1.
SILVER
As this monster gets upgraded to level 5, its stats get increased to 2 melee attack power at 3 speed with 2 armour and a whopping 12 health, along with the Scavenger ability which I mentioned above. Though it does not receive any new ability at Silver League, its increased health will be very useful as a tank card.
GOLD
When you upgrade this monster to level 8, its stats will increase further to 3 melee attack power at 3 speed with 2 armour and 12 health. It also gets a new ability called Reflection Shield from level 6 onwards, with which it can now neutralise any damages coming from Blast, Thorns, Magic Reflect or Return Fire ability.
DIAMOND / CHAMPION
Finally, when you upgrade this monster to its max level of 10, it then possesses an even further increased stats of 4 melee attack power at 3 speed with 2 armour and 12 health along with those 2 abilities that I mentioned above. Though it does not get any new ability at its level, its increased firepower with more defensive stats will surely help you in battles.
This time I received a large 52 mana limit match where only 3 elements were allowed to choose from - Fire, Earth and Death. There were also 3 rulesets applied in this battle such as - Explosive Weaponry (all monsters will get the Blast ability), Equal Opportunity (all monsters will get the Opportunity ability) and Lost Legendaries (no legendary monster can be used in this battle). After looking at all these rules I started thinking of an effective strategy to win this match and after thinking a bit, I finally decided to leverage the opportunity buff by using multiple big melee monsters and also attract all enemy attacks with a Taunt monster and then started building my lineup accordingly.
For this match, first of all, I chose the Legendary Dual summoner ETERNAL TOFU and at the first position of my lineup, I chose the Grimbardun Fighter followed by the Endless Ape, Halaran Huntress, Arkemis the Bear, Thunderhoof Nomad and the Mycelic Slipspawn at my end position. Anyway, when both the lineups were revealed, I found out that my opponent had used the same Eternal Tofu summoner and at his front position, he chose Arkemis the Bear followed by Grimbardun Fighter, Grund, Uraeus, Goblin Psychic and the Venari Scout at the end position.
As the battle began, my monsters started attacking the enemy Uraeus while the enemy monster targeted my Slipspawn. First at round 1, both my Arkemis and Halaran attacked the Uraeus and left it with only 3 health, followed by my Slipspawn who further stretched its health down to 1. Then, the Uraeus attacked my Slipspawn but due to the Thorns ability, it died after receiving the 2 damage. Next, at the beginning of round 2, my Arkemis killed down the Goblin Psychic, followed by the Venari Scout who died from the attack of my Slipspawn. Next, the Grund attacked my Slipspawn but gladly, the Thorns ability damage was enough to kill it down. Then in round 3, my Ape attacked but missed its target on the Arkemis, but my Nomad then did the job by taking down the Arkemis, leaving only the Fighter in the opponent’s lineup. But my Huntress didn't take much time and finally killed it down and thus, I won another amazing match and earned myself a little more SPS and Glint points.
