I hope all of you are spending a bright and beautiful day with your family and friends and also enjoying your favourite crypto game splinterlands in the meantime. Now for those who play this game on a regular basis, I guess you have noticed that there are only around 2 more days remaining for this ongoing ranked season to end. So, I guess all of you are focusing on the ranked section right now and putting in your best effort to win as many matches as you can before the timer gets reset. Whatever goals you have set for this season, either to reach a certain league tier or to secure a place in the champion leaderboard, I hope you reach there in time and now looking at my own stat, for this season I have somehow achieved my goal which was to reach the champion league. Right now, I am sitting at champion III tier with a current trophy count of 3,720, and with the remaining time, I will just play cautiously to earn some more SPS tokens and Glint points without losing my position from Champion. Let’s see how it goes.
Now moving forward, let me come to the main topic of this post as today, I will be talking about another great Rebellion edition card with you all and as you have already seen in the thumbnail above, today I will be talking about the ZEBAJIN. So, if you are interested, let us jump right in without any further ado.
ZEBAJIN is a monster type card that was released with the latest Rebellion edition card set and this card is from the core set. This monster belongs to the Earth element and it costs 7 mana to be used in battles, so you can easily use this card when playing medium to high mana matches, though in this post I have used this card in a small mana limit match and won. It is a legendary type card, so you will need a total of 11 BCXs of cards to upgrade it to max level. Its attack type is magic and apart from having a decent magic attack and speed with a good combo of health + armour, this card also carries 2 awesome abilities at max level which I will be talking about later in this post. Let us now take a further look at this card’s league-wise stats and abilities to find out more.
BRONZE
At level 1, this monster possesses only 1 magic attack at 2 speed with 1 armour and 10 health and also receives the Armoured Strike ability since its initial level. With the help of this ability, this monster can now perform a melee attack using its armour stat.
SILVER
As it gets upgraded to level 2, it gets 1 magic attack at an increased 3 speed with 1 armour and 11 health along with the Armoured Strike ability which I mentioned above.
GOLD
Upon reaching level 3, this monster’s magic attack increases to 2 with 3 speed, 1 armour, and 11 health. Though it does not get any new ability at level 3, the increased attack along with other stats will help you in battles more.
DIAMOND / CHAMPION
Finally, when this card reaches its max level 4, it gets 2 magic attack at 3 speed with 2 armour and 11 health and also receives a new ability called Last Stand. With this new ability, whenever this monster is the only card in your lineup, all of its stats get increased to +50%.
This time I received a small 12 mana limit match where 4 elements were allowed - Fire, Water, Earth and Dragon and there were 3 rulesets applied in this match - Reverse Speed ( the monster with the lowest speed will attack first and so on), Briar Patch (all monsters het Thorns ability) and Fire and Regret ( All monsters receive the Return fire ability). As you can clearly see, in this match using both melee or ranged attack types will have a disadvantage because of the ruleset, so I thought of using magic minsters in this match.
Considering the 12 mana cost of this battle, I decided to use the Zebajin in this match and started building my lineup accordingly. I chose the Earth summoner Obsidian and at my first place, I chose the Fungus Fiend followed by Halfling Refugee and Zebajin at the last position. When both lineups got revealed, I saw that my opponent had also used the same summoner Obsidian and at his front, he chose the Chaos Agent followed by Halfling Refugee, Runi, Fungus Fiend and Elanor Bravefoot at the end position.
As the match started, my Fiend died quickly by the enemy Runi and my Refugee also missed its attack on the enemy Agent and died in round 2 by Runi again. The enemy Bravefoot also died due to Return Fire and then on my lineup, only Zebajin was alive. So, it activated its Last Stand ability and got a whooping 5 magic attack. Then the real mayhem started as it first killed The Refugee at level 3 and then killed the Runi at level 4 with a single blow. The last monster alive on the other side was the poor Fiend and my Zebajin took care of it in the next round easily and thus, I won another amazing match.

Nice use of this card! Before lvl4, I don't see that much use in it - maybe with reach and armor boost it might be a good choice, but besides that I don't see it played a lot, either. But Last Stand can be super useful :-) Good game!
