In a few weeks Chaos Legion will move out of Modern League and be replaced by the new set, Conclave Arcana. This new set brings fresh excitement in Splinterlands with the new abilities, card designs and Black Foils!

Buying Conclave Arcana Packs

There are several packs to choose from in the presale.

Standard Pack

Contains five cards, one guaranteed rare or better. It costs 4,000 DEC or CREDITS.

Alchemy Pack

Contains five cards, one guaranteed to be rare or better. Also, one card is guaranteed to be Gold Foil. It costs 12,000 DEC or CREDITS.

Legendary Pack

Contains five cards, one guaranteed to be Legendary. This is the most expensive among the packs costing 24,000 DEC or CREDITS.

Pre-Sale Promos

There are a couple of pre-sale promo cards. They are the rare card, Arcane Skinwalker and a legendary card, Gramel the Hunger.

Arcane Skinwalker

Arcane Skinwalker is a neutral splinter. It deals two magic damage at level one and has four armor five health and two speed. A versatile card that can be used in high mana battles. Spending 40,000 DEC will entitle buyers to one copy of Arcane Skinwalker.

Gramel the Hunger

Gramel the Hunger is a legendary neutral splinter card. It's the only card that has all three attacks. At level one, it can deal one magic damage, two ranged damage and one melee damage. It also has the Charge ability so it can use its melee attack to damage the enemy from any position. It's a great card that can be obtained by players who spend 400,000 DEC.

My Conclave Arcana Pack Purchase

For myself, I bought ten standard packs for 40,000 DEC. It will entitle me to one BCX of Arcane Skinwalker. In addition, every 1,000 DEC or Credits spent during the pre-sale earns spenders one raffle entry. Once the pre-sale ends, all entries will be drawn for a chance to win one of seventy one random prizes. This means my spend of 40,000 DEC grants me forty raffle entries for a chance to win exciting prizes including Black Foil cards. It's a slim chance but I'll take it.

My Strategy to Prepare for the Conclave Arcana Set

Aside from buying packs, I'm also preparing to buy individual cards from the market and looking to have a deck of at least Silver level cards. Also, I have been accumulating Rebellion reward cards to complement my Conclave Arcana cards when I have them.

Rebellion Card Synergies with Conclave Arcana Cards

There are possible synergies that I have been looking into when I saw the initial Conclave Arcana cards that were revealed. Let's check out some of them.

Commander Slade and Tidal Tsunamist

These two Water splinter cards can work well together. Commander Slade is a sturdy tank and the Tidal Tsunamist can provide support from the rear with her Repair ability. She can also do damage to the enemy with her Sneak ability.

Gallicus and Caravan Guard

I like pairing units with Taunt ability with units that can heal with Triage. I used this strategy with Iziar and Djinn Renova, both cards from Chaos Legion. I hope I can replicate this strategy in my Light splinter card with Gallicus and Caravan Guard.

Olivia of the Brook and Palifala Weslinath

Olivia of the Brook easily became one of my favorite cards to watch in battle because of her unique Mimic ability. Now, another card in the Light splinter also has the same ability. Imagine using both cards in battle. The amount of abilities both cards can accumulate as the battle progresses will surely be fun to watch.

Nimbledook Explorer and Happy Quokka

Nimbledook Explorer is a support card with no attack other than its Armored Strike ability. Happy Quokka can give her a melee attack with its Weapons Training ability. This combo will be especially be useful in rulesets like Equal Opportunity where melee units can attack from any position.

Final Thoughts

Conclave Arcana will be released on May 13. I'm excited to open my packs and build my deck again. This is a fresh start for Splinterlands and I hope the game will continue to succeed in the #play2earn gaming space.
