Hello Splinterlands summoners and welcome back to my blog!
I previously wrote about the Anemic ruleset in this post. Under this ruleset, all units start with a max health of four regardless of their original stats. This means that units with high health lose their advantage and units with high damage and self sustain take center stage. I also wrote about the Silver Shield Sentry unit here. I found out in one of my battles that the Silver Shield Sentry can be an effective unit, even a star card in Anemic ruleset.

The Silver Shield Sentry is a versatile unit. It deals five range damage and has three speed. On defense it has five armor and five health. It can play as a damage dealer in the backline but it has abilities that make it also an ideal tank. It has Close Range ability that enables it to attack with range from the first position. Bulwark grants it more defense in exchange for its offensive power and Rebirth allows it to resurrect once per battle.
For Silver level players, it's ideal to level him up to at least four to get the Bulwark ability. Players who want more offensive power may level him up to five where he gains another attack stat.

"When in the first position, -2 power, +8 health, and +8 armor."
The Bulwark ability gives a lot of advantage in the Anemic Ruleset. Imagine when all units have a health of only four. The Bulwark ability that can be gained at level four grants the Silver Shield Sentry eight more health. There's a saying in the land of the blind, the one eyed person is the king. So in the Anemic ruleset, the Silver Shield Sentry is a beefy unit with a total of twelve health. He can play tank while his team mates do damage from the back.

In this battle, I had the Silver Shield Sentry at position three. On hindsight, maybe I should have put him in first position from the start since the ruleset included Melee Mayhem which means that my melee units can hit from any position. All units started with four health but when the Silver Shield Sentry took the first position, his health was bumped to twelve and his armor to eleven. This is a huge advantage that especially since there were no magic units allowed. This means that the Silver Shield Sentry was especially tanky in this battle. It allowed my damage dealers to do their job without being harassed by the enemy.
The Anemic Ruleset presents another fun challenge for players to deal with. Under this ruleset focus on high damage units, units with healing and self sustaining units for survival. It also helps the team if its faster to attack first and eliminate enemies before they can strike back. It's also important to fill all slots and avoid high mana units that will deny slots to other cards. Due to the low health of individual units, it's crucial that all slots are occupied to increase the overall team's health pool.
It's nice to discover another strategy involving a star card, Silver Shield Sentry, to get an advantage in this ruleset. There may be more out there waiting to be found out. I hope readers learn something from this post and see you in the next one!
