Hello Splinterlands summoners and welcome back to my blog!
If you still have Chaos Legion cards that remain unused in Modern, then you'll be excited to the new ruleset, Outsider. Under this ruleset, you can summon one Wild unit in battle. This is similar to "Are You Not Entertained?" where you can summon one Gladiator unit in battle. This means that Wild cards that you're not using will now find limited utility in the Modern mode.

If I had known that this ruleset will happen then I wouldn't have sold my level two Djinn Oceanus. He will dominate with the rest of my Water magic team in Silver and Gold Leagues. I still have some legendary cards in my collection that I didn't burn. I keep them even if I don't use them because I liked the cards. Now, I'll have a chance to use them in battles from time to time. Here are the legendary cards I still have. I'll mention the cards that I most use in battles.
I used to combo this card with Deep Lurker. Together, they hunt the enemy's low health units with their Opportunity skill. Kulu also has the Weapons Training ability, lending attack to no attack units.
A Death card that deals two magic attack. I like this card because it has the Weapons Training ability that grants magic attacks to no attack units. They can both hit from afar since they deal magic damage.
Usut is another legendary Death card that deals two magic damage. I use this card in Earthquake ruleset. It can also play as tank because of its high health.
Iziar is a card that I use as a tank in Wands Out rulesets. It has the Void ability to decrease magic damage received. He's also ideal as a Taunt unit and I combo him with units with Triage ability.
A melee card with Reach and Weapons Training ability. I used to position this card behind a no attack unit card. Because of its Weapons Training ability, it gave an offensive option to no attack cards.
A magic damage dealer with Double Strike ability. It's almost similar to the legendary dragon gladiator card, Larissa Kerato. He's a good damage dealer in the back.
A neutral card with dual attack and Double Strike ability. This card has a lot of offense in its arsenal. I used to choose this card in rulesets where melee can attack from anywhere like Super Sneak. It attacks four times in a round.
A dragon card with Weapons Training ability. I used to combo this with Skok and together they give dual attacks to no attack cards. These cards with Weapons Training ability can now combo with Modern cards like Shiraza to give no attack cards offense.

In this battle, Kulu Mastermind joins my Water magic team's backline damage dealers. His four melee attack and Opportunity ability adds more offense to my team. Thus, all units in my team deal at least four damage making it highly offensive. The enemy chose Fire and had no Wild units. Their overall attack power was also less than mine. My team enjoyed the advantage in power and better synergy, giving me the victory.
