Our Recent Guild Brawl and Featured Battle

Hello Splinterlands summoners and welcome back to my blog!

Our guild has just wrapped up another brawl. This time we had a solid improvement. We climbed to fourth place, up from last week’s seventh place finish. In today’s post, I’ll break down our overall results, highlight my personal performance, and showcase one of my favorite battles.

Guild Rank and Personal Performance

We had a solid brawl this week, finishing in fourth place. It's a big improvement from our performance last week when we ended up in seventh place. We earned ninety nine crowns which we can use to upgrade our buildings.

Personally, my results were great during the brawl and I was satisfied with my overall results. I won six out of eight battles, which helped our guild’s ranking. My efforts also contributed eighteen points to the final score. Compared to previous brawls, the rewards this time were much better and felt more worthwhile. Each of us who joined received rewards of 5,186 merits and 63 SPS.

Featured Battle

We can use two gladiators in this brawl having the "Are You Not Entertained?" ruleset. I chose the Fire splinter inspite of my archon, Fithe Bladestone, being only at level two. The reason is I have strong gladiator cards in Fire. My tank was Doomshield Warden. He has the Flank ability that enables me to place another melee unit that can attack in second position. The other melee unit I picked was Molten Elemental. It has dual attack of melee and ranged that it can use from second position. My two gladiator cards are strong. First is Fina Voxom, a legendary melee card with high damage and Opportunity ability. She hunts the enemy's low health units and quickly trigger her bloodlust, adding to her stats. Next gladiator card was Orella Abadon, another melee unit but with Sneak ability. Next is a no attack unit Ashveil Tactician. Her Inspire ability increases the melee attack of my units. Finally my prized card, Shiraza. Its Weapons Training ability grants two magic attack to no attack units making it one of my most valued cards.

The enemy had a higher level archon and units. He used a dual tank combo of Saltwraith Bulkhead and gladiator Marisol Contuma followed by magic damage dealers including his second gladiator card, Captain Katie. Fina made her first kill in the first round and triggered her bloodlust. It went easier for my team since then as Fina followed up with another kill and another. She one shot each enemy unit while increasing her power with each kill.
