Hello Splinterlands summoners and welcome back to my blog!
Our guild has just finished our latest brawl. Our erratic performance in brawl continues. We're back to seventh place from last week's fourth place finish. In today’s post, I’ll break down our overall results, highlight my personal performance, and showcase one of my favorite battles.

We had a not so good brawl this week, finishing in seventh place. We're near the cellar dwellers, a lot better than eighth and ninth place who didn't have enough members to join brawls. We still earned eighty crowns which we can use to upgrade our buildings.

Fortunately my personal performance were great during the brawl and I was happy with my overall results. I won seven out of eight battles, which helped our guild’s ranking. My efforts also contributed twenty one points to the final score. Because of our low placement, we only earned 4.2k merits and 47 SPS.

There was no ruleset in this battle and the mana cap is not so limiting with fourty nine. I decided to use a Dragon and Fire splinter team with Kavor Skarn as my archon. The rest of the team was composed of the following units.
Drybone Megalodon was my main tank. It deals four melee damage, has three speed, three armor and seven health. It has the Retaliate ability enabling it to counterattack against melee units. Its best ability in my opinion is Flank which gives the Reach ability to the second position unit. This allows another powerful tank to sit beside the Megalodon and attack from second position. I gave the second position to Molten Elemental who has dual attack of melee and range. It can fly which increases its chances to evade physical attacks. It also has Void to defend itself against magic. The third position goes to Night Reaper. It's a versatile unit that can play as my third tank. It deals three magic damage and has four speed. On defense it has an armor and ten health, decent stats to play tank. It can fly and has the Deflect ability. Fourth position goes to my gladiator card and main damage dealer, Fina Voxom. She deals four melee damage, has Opportunity and Piercing abilities in addition to her Bloodlust. All these offensive abilities combine to make her a powerful attacking unit. She hunts the enemy's low health units and trigger her bloodlust. Fifth place was the Portly Cannoneer, a decent damage dealer and has the Inspire ability to increase my team's melee damage. Finally I had Syrenth in last place. Her Taunt ability in invaluable to draw enemy attacks.
The enemy chose the Death splinter with a good team. He had Doomshield Warden as a tank followed by his gladiator card, the legendary Tatiana Blayde. His team had a decent mix of sturdy tank, damage dealers, debuff and healer units.
Fina immediately got her first kill in the first round and activated her bloodlust. In the second round she disposed of the enemy's gladiator card and increased her stats once again. From there the battle went easy and my team won the battle.
