Our Recent Guild Brawl and Featured Battle

Hello Splinterlands summoners and welcome back to my blog!

Our guild has just finished another brawl. We dropped to ninth place compared to fifth rank last week. To be sure, it was not one of our best peformances but these things happen. In today’s post, I’ll break down our overall results, highlight my personal performance, and showcase one of my favorite battles.

Guild Rank and Personal Performance

We dropped to ninth place this week compared to last week's fifth rank. Fellow immortal guild, Immortal Phoenix was in last place. We are both not in luck this time around.

My own battle record was not so bad although it was not great either. I won six battles and lost three. Each of us who joined the brawl earned 4.4k merits and 42 SPS.

Featured Battle

The battle involved the Little League ruleset. Whenever I encounter this ruleset, I almost always use two cards that buff my team's health. Then I will have damage dealers and a low mana tank in front. I used the Earth archon in this battle and the rest of my team were as follows.

Halfling Refugee

Halfing Refugee is a one mana card but is a decent tank. He deals three melee damage, has six health and three speed. The only thing holding him back is his Weary debilitation.

Ironwing Juggernaut

Ironwing Juggernaut is a three mana neutral card that is similar to the Halfing Refugee. It has lower melee attack with two but it has three armor, making him a good second tank. He also has the Charge ability and therefore can attack with melee from any position.

Halaran Huntress

Halaran Huntress is a four mana card that deals two melee damage, has four speed and four health. She can fly, thus is a good card in Earthquake rulesets. She also has Charge that enables her to attack with melee from anywhere.

Bertrol Gobson

Bertrol Gobson is my gladiator card. He is a two mana common card and deals two melee damage, has four speed and five health. He has the Opportunity ability to hunt the enemy's low health units.

Thunderhoof Nomad

Thunderhoof Nomad is a three mana, magic unit. She only deals one magic damage but is useful with her Strengthen ability that increases the team's health. She is also a good card to use in Explosive Weaponry ruleset because of her Deflect ability.

Ujurak Elder

Ujurak Elder is similar to Thunderhoof Nomad. She deals one magic damage and has the Strengthen ability. Thus, I have two units that increase my team's health. It's a huge help for sustainability.

The enemy used the Life splinter and also has a decent team. However, mine had better synergy, damage output and overall health. In a battle of attrition, my team held the advantage and eventually took the victory.
