Our Recent Guild Brawl and Featured Battles

Hello Splinterlands summoners and welcome back to my blog!

Our guild has just finished another brawl. We had a luckluster brawl this time. We only finished in seventh place compared to last week's fifth. In today’s post, I’ll share a breakdown of our overall brawl results, share my personal contribution and feature a few of my favorite battles.

Guild Rank and Personal Performance

We were not able to keep our spot from last week's brawl. We only placed seventh this week. Our guild earned fifty nine crowns which we can use to upgrade our buildings.

Personally, my performance was great. I won seven battles out of eight and contributed twenty one points. The rewards for this brawl was low though with only 3k merits and 39 SPS.

Featured Battle

The battle had the Little League and Equalizer rulesets. There were few choices of splinters so I chose Earth with Kaylia Silverleaf archon. The rest of my team were as follows.

Halfling Refugee

Halfling Refugee is a great tank in low mana battles. He's only one mana but deals three melee damage and has three speed. He also has six health to tank.

Ironwing Juggernaut

Ironwing Juggernaut is also a decent tank for low mana battles. He's three mana and deals a bit lower damage of two. On the other hand, he has more defense as he has three armor. I put him as a second tank since he has a Charge ability, enabling him to attack from any position.

Halaran Huntress

Halaran Huntress is a four mana card that I usually use for Earthquake rulesets. She's a dependable damage dealer and her flying ability increases her chance to evade physical attacks.

Mad Kaboomist

The Mad Kaboomist is a four mana, magic damage dealer. His setback is his low health but that's not a problem because of the Equalizer ruleset.

Jini Guise

Although a legendary card, I don't usually use Jini Guise as my gladiator card in brawls. The Earth splinter is packed with a lot of good gladiator cards like Quora and Katrelba that even legendary card takes a back seat. However, the Little League ruleset gave her a chance to be played. She is a support card that grants two armor stats to the team.

Blackmoor Jinx

A one mana card to complete the team. I usually use this card to guard the rear against sneak attackers since he doesn't contribute much on offense.

Enemy Team and Battle

The enemy chose Water and had a good mix of melee, magic and range units. His units include the legendary Sten Slatehelm whom I wrote about in a previous post. His gladiator card was the two mana epic card Alfredo. The enemy team had a lower damage output since he had units that only deal one damage. He also had the Shock Trooper in his team that deals one damage to allies. This works if his team also has high damage and can kill his enemy fast before the Shock Trooper reduces his own team. These put him at a disadvantage and lost the battle.
