Hello Splinterlands warriors and welcome back to my blog!
The Magmaforged is a Common Fire splinter ranged card. It is a low cost support attacker that specializes in making units with Sneak ability more reliable rather than dealing massive damage itself. I comboed it with the deadly Grove Doomblade in my recent battle. In today's post, we'll take a look at Magmaforged lore, stats & abilities and show a sample battle where I used it to solve Grove Doomblade's weakness.
Magmaforged is a magical unit made of molten rock and living flame. It is held together only by powerful magic. It is barely restrained by the spells that bind it. When those spells finally break, its body collapses into nothing more than steam and molten slag, leaving only scorched earth behind.

Magmaforged is a three mana Fire unit. At maxed levels it deals two range damage, is very fast with seven speed and has six health. It's most unique ability is Pinpoint, allowing sneak attackers like Grove Doomblade to never miss her attacks. It's one of her weaknesses that due to her slowness, her attacks are often evaded by faster units.
Later at level seven Magmaforged will gain the Return Fire ability and at maxed level, the Backfire ability which is complemented by its insane speed.
Players should aim to get the Magmaforged to at least level three to get the Pinpoint ability then the next target will be level five where it will raise its attack to two.

In this battle, the rulesets were Odd Ones Out and Counterspell. Only the Fire splinter was available so we had limited choices. I chose the Frontier archon because it grants a speed buff to units which I was aiming for with the team I had in mind. The rest of my team were as follows.
Halfling Refugee is a one mana unit that has decent stats to play tank in low mana battles. It deals three melee damage, has six health and three speed. It's only weakness is its Weary debilitation. I wanted a dual tank combo in the frontline so my next unit was...
Ironwing Juggernaut is much the same as Halfling Refugee. It's a low mana unit that has decent stats to play tank and can attack with melee from any position. My Ironwing Juggernaut deals two melee damage, has three armor, five health and three speed. It has the Charge ability that allows it to strike from anywhere. However, same as the Halfling Refugee it is also held back by its Weary debilitation.
Grove Doomblade is my main damage dealer in the team. She deals a huge five melee damage and has the Sneak and Stun abilities. She has to strike fast and accurately which was why I used the Frontier archon that grants extra speed.
Magmaforged deals low damage but its utility is in its Pinpoint ability, making sure that Grove Doomblade's attack will always find their mark thus not wasting her huge damage potential.
Ash Archer is a five mana range card from the Frontier. It deals two range damage and has good speed.
My usual strategy when forming teams is to put a Taunt unit to divide the enemy attacks. Swiftbeard Stout fills this role. He's a seven mana card that deals two range damage, has seven health and a speed of two. It has the Taunt ability which was why he joins the team.
The enemy had Fithe Bladestone who grants +2 armor to allies. He had a similar team as mine with dual tank, damage dealers and a Taunt unit. My advantage in speed and certainty that my biggest damage dealer, Grove Doomblade will never miss gave me the advantage in this battle and got my team the victory.
