Kervik: A Low Mana Legendary Card of the Water Splinter

Hello Splinterlands summoners and welcome back to my blog!

Kervik is a legendary Water splinter reward card from the Conclave Arcana set. He is a low mana melee card that combines offense and sustain. Due to his small mana cost and utility, this makes him a flexible addition to many Water lineups. In today's post, well dive into his lore, stats & abilities and show one of my battles where he's used effectively.

Lore

Kervik is a stealthy scout and deadly fighter who serves aboard the Saltwraith. During Conclave expeditions, he moves ahead of the crew to scout safe landing sites through hidden tide caves and coastal brush. When enemies draw near, he eliminates threats swiftly and quietly before they can endanger the mission. Though skilled in his work, Kervik is motivated by the gold he earns to fund his hobbies at the tavern.

Stats and Abilities

Kervik is a four mana legendary card of the Water splinter. At maxed levels he deals a huge five melee damage, has four health and two speed. He has four useful abilities. He is a sneak attacker, harassing the enemy back line. He cannot be seen due to his Camouflage ability while exposing the enemy and removing their buffs. He can support tanks with healing, sustaining them and making them last longer in battles.

My Kervik is only at level one but he is already useful with high melee damage and Sneak ability.

Featured Battle

The battle was from one of my own. It's a mid mana cap and I decided to use my Water magic team. I had four mana slot remaining and I debated whether to use a front line tank or a back line Sneak attacker. I haven't used Kervik that much so I decide to try him this time.

The enemy had a solid lineup. His team is anchored on his strong, beefy tank, Dar Gottem Gearnut. He's a pretty solid tank with high health even at level one. His strategy was to strengthen and reinforce his tank so I was glad to have chosen a Sneak attacker to be included in my team. The enemy Gearnut had self healing ability given by the archon. In addition, he had the Shield ability, decreasing damage from physical attacks. He also had a couple of support units with Repair and Tank Heal. All these make his tank even more beefier. Luckily, I used magic damage dealers therefore, the Shield ability and Repair support was useless against my attackers. My magic damage dealers took care of the enemy tank while Kervik harassed the support units in the back.
