Chaos Legion is here, and I decided I'd like to start early: I opened my last Vouchered Pack from the Phase II sale, and I plan to giveaway some cards from each pack I open from now until the Chaos Legion sells out! Each pack, I'll briefly talk about the cards I get, and give away a card, or two, or three!

Some decent commons, a River Nymph, and a GF Flying Squid, this pack's highlight is a GF Flying Squid. although long-term, I think Goblin Psychic will be the more valuable option here.

Card Tips & Tricks

River Nymph

Normal Foil, Rare, Water Monster

An Awesome Water card, River Nymph is a powerful card that gains Amplify later on. River Nymph amplifies the power of Lir Deepswimmer and makes him a VERY powerful anti-range card.

Who's good to pair with this Monster? I really like to use Spineback Turtle or Sea Monster with Thorns. Serpent of Eld has Return Fire as well.

I like River Nymph in No Melee and with Lir Deepswimmer mostly

Radiated Brute

Normal Foil, Common, Fire Monster

I really like Radiated Brute, and he's made Fineas Rage a bit less of the obvious pick that he used to be. Paired with Tarsa and Enrage, this is a brute to be sure.

I like to put Radiated Brute in combination with Living Lava in Melee Only, and Forgotten One or Tusk the Wide in most other situations.

I avoid using her in Armored and Opportunity, but I like her in Reverse Speed and Blast

Chaos Agent

Normal Foil, Common, Neutral Monster

An absolute favorite card, he gains Evasion and Phase, which, what's not to like for 1 Mana? I like to pair him with Kitty and Kelya who give speed bonuses, as well as Time Mage and/or Boogeyman. Chaos Agent is a card that will be core to a lot of low mana teams for as long as it remains in the Modern Format.

I don't recommend Chaos Agent in High Mana Battles

Goblin Psychic

Normal Foil, Common, Earth Monster

Goblin Psychic is one of the stronger Commons we've seen, ranking up there with Serpentine Spy and Deeplurker in terms of use and absolute ability spread/functionality.

Goblin Psychic is king in rulesets such as Reverse Speed, Equalizer, and Fog of War, where his abilities compliment these situations nicely. He is a VERY powerful card, despite having very low health, and when he is well protected: He wins matches.

I do NOT recommend him in Snipe or No Healing and I would avoid using him in Mana less than about 20.

Flying Squid

Gold Foil, Common, Water Monster

An Awesome Golden Squid! I am please with any Gold, as they will prove rewarding over time, and eventually be many times more the worth of the pack itself that I opened. Plus, the 10% DEC Bonus will be particularly nice.

I like to pair Flying Squid in high mana, as he is a very solid card, but is often overshadowed by Deeplurker in Mid Mana, where it makes more sense to choose Deeplurker in most situations.

Flying Squid is very powerful in Melee Only, Odds, Lost Magic, and in Opportunity but I would avoid taking him into an Equalizer match. He also is only somewhat good in Earthquake/Poison and has some better options. Finally: I like Flying Squid in Enrage.
