Splinterlands Social Media Challenge - Joining a Guild and Playing Brawls

An update of my game status today. I joined a guild recently and now we are in the middle of a brawl. Joining a guild gives a lot of benefits to its members like the guild buildings that gives extra boost to earnings. In addition, having joined a guild gives me access to the guild store to buy gladiator cards. I spent some merits in the guild store and got new cards.

In addition to the cards, playing in guild brawls will earn SPS.

Chimney Wallstop

Gladiators are very strong. For example, look at Chimney Wallstop. He is a common card but his melee attack is as high as a legendary card. He also has two skills at level 1.

Alfredo

Ok, Alfredo proved me wrong. He is an epic but his attack is only one and he only has one skill. Not that impressive for an epic card. On the bright side, he has a low mana of two.

Katrelba Gobson

Now this card is very strong. I don't understand how Katrelba Gobson is just a common. It has an attack of 2 and has three skills! One of her skills is double strike that enables her to attack twice.

Quora Towershead

This is another very strong card. Quora Towershead can attack with magic and melee. Both attacks are 2 for a total attack of 4 in a round. Not only that, she also has two skills and one of them allows her to heal. Not only is her attack strong, she can also be hard to kill. The green splinter with Quora and Katrelba have strong cards in the team.

Helmet Kharafax

A card with no attack, I will not choose Helmet Kharafax in brawls. There are better choices in the white team.

Ajax Lightfoot

Ajax Lightfoot is a better choice if I will use the white team in brawl. He has 2 range attack and very fast with 6 speed. I'm also lucky to get a gold foil version.

Witch of Warwick

Witch of Warwick has a magic attack of 2 and has two skills at level one. This is a good card to use if I will play with the black splinter.

Guild Brawl

The brawl shows the strength of Katrelba. My opponent's team is strong with three legendary cards. My own team is not weak though having two legendary cards of my own. I posted about my legendary cards before so I will not repeat it here.

Some details about my opponent's star cards:

Xulax Nightwind

Xulax Nightwind is a strong tank. His stats are all great with 3 attack, 7 armor, 7 health and 3 speed. He has two skills in addition to his stats.

Tatiana Blayde

Tatiana Blayde is like Quora that has two attacks. I still like Quora who can heal and has more health than Tatiana.

Drybone Raider

Drybone Raider is another card that has two attacks. He can also attack twice with is double strike skill.

The ruleset is explosive weaponry, meaning all units have blast skill. Looking at my opponent's cards, it's better if his rat with martyr is placed between his two legendary cards. That way, both will benefit when it dies from blast skill.

Round 1 - The enemy rat dies and buffs Xulax Nightwind. Katrelba Gobson kills Tatiana Blayde.
Round 2 - Terraceous Hulk kills the Drybone Raider and Katrelba eliminates Xulax. I won in two rounds.

In the battle, Katrelba was a star card. Her double strike and blast from the ruleset quickly eliminated the enemy units and led to my win.

The brawl is not yet over but we already won some fights. I hope to get some SPS and merit rewards and then I'll buy more gladiator cards. I'm also hoping to buy Conclave Arcana cards so that I can play in Modern Format. This season, I'm playing in Wild but next season a wild pass is needed to play.
