Conclave Arcana is live and marks a new era for Splinterlands. When I opened my game and started a battle. I immediately noticed that my Chaos Legion cards are no longer available. So now, I'm using Rebellion cards in battle and finding out which teams work well together. I checked the market for card prices and the Conclave Arcana cards are a bit expensive. Maybe after a few days I can start shopping for great deals. Looking in the market, some cards look really great and the Arcane versions are really good to look at with animations. The black foil versions are the most expensive being so rare and already maxed. Some cards caught my attention.
Oridium Graybrow
A legendary card, Oridium Graybrow is selling for $11.52. I think the price is right for this card. Level one has the following stats:
Race | Human |
Attack Type | Melee |
Attack | 3 |
Armor | 6 |
Health | 4 |
Speed | 4 |
Mana | 7 |
Skill | Thorns |
I like this card for my tank if I can afford it. He is very strong with 3 attack and tough defense. He has thorns to damage melee attackers. This card could have been great with Tarsa but she is no longer available. This card does not work well with the fire archon who is a dwarf. There are some dwarf cards that are also good.
Filthy Scavenger
Another legendary card selling for $9.80. Filthy Scavenger is from the death team. He is a good unit that will attack from the rear. He has great stats and skill.
Race | Gnome |
Attack Type | Melee |
Attack | 3 |
Armor | 0 |
Health | 4 |
Speed | 3 |
Mana | 4 |
Skill | Opportunity |
This card is a gnome which is great. It can take advantage of the bloodline dominion from the archon. It is selling below $10 so it's cheap in my opinion.
Zargrul
Zargrul is a legendary water card selling for $8. He looks cheap for his stats. His role is a magic tank but he can also play from any position.
Race | Orc |
Attack Type | Magic |
Attack | 1 |
Armor | 1 |
Health | 11 |
Speed | 3 |
Mana | 8 |
Skill | Taunt |
Being an orc, Zargrul is the same race as the water summoner and can take advantage of the bloodline dominion. The taunt skill is great to attract attacks from the enemy. His 11 health is more than enough to keep him alive for long while his team mates are free from enemy damage.
Mahkah Hemlig
Makhak Hemlig does a lot of magic damage. Selling at only $7.50, she has 4 magic damage, 3 health and 4 speed. She is a great legendary unit in the green team. She is a bit squishy though, not having armor and only 3 health.
Race | Minotaur |
Attack Type | Magic |
Attack | 4 |
Armor | 0 |
Health | 3 |
Speed | 4 |
Mana | 9 |
Skill | Opportunity |
Mahkah Hemlig is a great unit but has to be protected from units with opportunity skill. She will be targeted with her low health. Maybe she will be more useful in equalizer ruleset.
Bren Palesworn
Bren Palesworn is selling for more than $10. The reason is because he has two attacks and two skills. His attack types are melee and ranged but he can attack from anywhere because he can sneak.
Race | Human |
Attack Type | Range/Melee |
Attack | 2/1 |
Armor | 0 |
Health | 4 |
Speed | 3 |
Mana | 6 |
Skill | Sneak, Shapeshift |
Bale's shapeshift skill lets him be treated as all bloodlines. He can benefit from all archon bloodline dominion and he is a neutral card too. Being neutral allows him to be useful in all splinters further making his utility justify his high selling price compared to other legendary cards.
The cards mentioned above are all legendary. There are other great cards but these are the ones I liked. These cards are affordable and justify their cost with their stats and skills and their use in battle.
