Greetings to Splinterlands players. I'm continuing to add cards to my deck to improve my games and winning chances. This season, I bought an epic reward card and got a Shock Trooper.
He is a great addition to my team having 4 magic damage. My summoner in the blue team add +1 magic to all units so Shock Trooper will even be stronger. I don't like his skill Electrified that does not help the team. It's a drawback from using a strong unit that was introduced in the Rebellion Reward cards.
My strategy in the blue team is a strong unit in front and the rest are magic attackers. The enemy team used red with combination of speed and opportunity attacks. My magic attackers are still not safe because of my enemy's strategy.

Card Purchases This Week
Last week, I purchased some cards. I'm getting some SPS rewards now that I can use to buy cards that will help me win more games. This season, I continue to buy cards. I mainly focus on magic attackers but also bought a card with no attack.
Yaba's Pickle
Yaba's Pickle is a new promo card. It's a tribute to the co-founder and CEO @yabapmatt. It can be purchased for 150 DEC if you have 1,000 SPS staked on June 17. I didn't have that much staked so I got my copy from the market.
I bought Yaba's Pickle for almost a hundred DEC. It has no attack but it can be an adequate tank in low mana games. It's also a good collector item as this card is sold for a limited time only. I only wish that this was also a neutral card so that all elements can use it.
I had the chance to use Yaba's Pickle in a low mana battle. My strategy was to have him as a tank. He has an armor and a lot of life even though he has no attack. My other team members are all magic attackers including Shock Trooper. The enemy also used the Water element but his units are composed of two melee attackers and one ranged unit. His units have more life but mine has more attackers. I think this gave me the advantage in this game.

Thunderous Herald
Last week I bought cards from the Rebellion set. This week, it's all from the Conclave Arcana set. Thunderous Herald is a much needed addition since my Light team is weak. I think I need more units with strong attacks so Thunderous Herald will fill that role with her 2 magic attack.
In this game, the enemy looks stronger with a tactics archon. My team is composed of units from several sets including my new cards Thunderous Herald and Aria Bandit. My Leopard was poisoned and died quickly. My Janni Rebel has a lot of health and was able to tank. My other units were able to dispose of the enemy especially Vengeful Monk who attacked low life units of the enemy's.

Quillstorm Mage
Quillstorm mage is another magic attacker that I added to my team. She is a neutral card that all teams can use especially the blue team with the archon giving +1 magic attack to all units.
In this game, the enemy and I have the same strategy of using magic attackers. His team included the new legendary Foundation card with magic attack but has 9 mana. I used lower mana cards including Quillstorm Mage. I have more magic attackers than the enemy which gave me the edge in this game.
