Pizza A Slice of Madness Brawl Report: Third Place!
Greetings to all Splinterlands players and hive gaming community! This is my report for Pizza A Slice of Madness brawl. We are a guild that plays for fun, competitions and rewards. We play in the weekly guild brawls where we fight with other guilds for the fun challenge and rewards. This is our battle report for the week.
Overall Guild Rank: Third Place!
We are in third place this week, a rung lower than our second place ranking last week but at least we are still in the podium. It was a narrow lead by second place guild Hive BR who had 106 wins versus our 104 wins. Over the fourth place guild, we only have a three win lead so the competition is getting tighter.
Top Brawl Participants
I had a great brawl again. I only gave up one loss for an 8 - 1 record. It's still a great result as I joined the 3rd to 6th place top brawl performers in our guild.
Selected Games
Here I present two of the games that I won.
Game 1
The first game had Noxious Fumes, Upclose & Personal and Maneuvers modifiers. It a melee only game with Reach skill given to all monsters. The Earth team was not available which was my preferred element when there is poison involved. They are the most resilient element because it has Dread Tafarian who has healing skills and the summoner gives +1 life boost. I chose Fire because they have cards with high life stats to live longer in the Noxious Fumes modifier. My chosen gladiator card had twelve life and five melee attack.
My opponent chose Water which was less helpful because magic units are not available. He only had Great Bear Druid who has double attack of magic and melee. His cards, overall have lower life stats than mine that also enjoy the edge in speed.

Game 2
In game 2 the game rules were simpler: Don't use archer units because their attacks will be returned. So I only used melee and magic cards in this game. Consequently, my opponent had two archer cards in his team. That gave me an edge. My tank was also better than his because of higher attack and defense.

Spending the Rewards
I have enough merits to buy three packs. There were no epic or legendary cards but I have two gold foils. One of them was Captain Katie. In the Life element, I mostly use her more than the other cards. Her three magic attack gives me a dps unit in my team.
Conclusion
We earned 4,444 merits and 31 SPS from the brawl. The reward is generous that we get just from joining and playing brawls. With regular brawls, it adds to my weekly SPS stake. I'm grateful to the Pizza guild for accepting me as a member and gave me a regular spot to join the brawls and earn rewards.
