Pizza A Slice of Madness Brawl Report: First Place!

Greetings to all Splinterlands players and hive gaming community! This is my report for Pizza A Slice of Madness brawl. We are a guild that plays for fun, competitions and rewards. We play in the weekly guild brawls where we fight with other guilds for the fun challenge and rewards. This is our battle report for the week.

Overall Guild Rank: First Place!

We have took the top spot on the back of 108 - 36 win loss record. We were in distant fifth place this week and this week fortune smiled on us and gave us easier games. We had a huge lead against second place finisher Lux Aeterna guild.

Top Brawl Participants

I had a great brawl again. Like last week, I won seven games out of eight. I joined third to eighth place finishers in our guild who had similar 7 - 1 records.

Selected Games

Here I present two of the games that I won.

Game 1

The first game was against second place guild Lux Aeterna. This win helped our guild secure first place. There were only two elements available to use, Fire and Light. I chose Light because their specialty is armor while Fire's specialty is speed and melee attackers. Light's armor will reduce melee attacks, those were my thoughts. My tank was a low mana card with no attack. Then it was followed by a melee card that will be the second tank. The attackers in my team were magic units and my gladiator was Captain Katie. She has three magic attacks and I placed her in the back.

My opponent chose Fire and all melee card. It was a battle of attrition where both of us had our share of losses. Only I had more cards than my opponent's.

Game 2

Game 2 was another Fire vs Light game. Only this time, I had the Fire element. The game had Magic Reflect modifier so I chose Fire's speed over Light's armor buff. I had three cards versus my opponent who only had two. His gladiator cost nine mana while mine only three. The strength in numbers gave me the edge again.

Spending the Rewards

I bought three packs and only got a three rare cards. This was not a lucky day to open packs. In consolation, two rare cards were Captain Katie. She's a strong magic card who I often choose in my games.

Conclusion

We earned 5,444 merits and 40 SPS from the brawl. The reward is generous that we get just from joining and playing brawls. With regular brawls, it adds to my weekly SPS stake. I'm grateful to the Pizza guild for accepting me as a member and gave me a regular spot to join the brawls and earn rewards.
