Pizza A Slice of Madness Brawl Report: Back in 3rd Place!
Greetings to all Splinterlands players and hive gaming community! This is my report for Pizza A Slice of Madness brawl. We are a guild that plays for fun, competitions and rewards. We play in the weekly guild brawls where we fight with other guilds for the fun challenge and rewards. This is our battle report for the week.
Overall Guild Rank: Third Place
After two consecutive weeks of ranking in fifth, we are back to third place on the back of 75 - 45 win loss record. We had a big lead over fourth place guild Life is Pain. The second place guild Apocalypse Artisans also had a big lead over us that clearly defined the placements. I'm happy that we're back to the top performing guilds.
Top Brawl Participants
I'm happy to join the third to seventh top brawl participants in my guild. We all had a 7 - 1 win loss record that helped our guild reach the top of the standings.
Selected Games
Here I present two of the games that I won.
Game 1
The first game was a Water vs Water match. The modifier was Briar Patch and the mana was forty. I had the magic team I use in most of my games and supported by an epic gladiator card with archer attack. The modifier discourages melee cards so I did not have any. My opponent also had a magic team but his gladiator card was a melee one. The Briar Patch modifier means that it will get damaged by Thorns so this is a disadvantage for him. His Spellmonger was also wasted in the last position because I did not have a unit with sneak skill in my team.

Game 2
In game 2 the modifier was Fog of War and Reverse speed. I had my water team again and did not use any gladiator cards because I can't find a good place for them. I thought the strength of my regular cards was enough to win the game. My opponent chose Light and had attackers including his gladiator. My team still prevailed even if not having a gladiator card.

Spending the Rewards
I bought two packs again and got a two epics of the same card. He is a Light element melee card with four attacks. I think I can upgrade him after this.
I upgraded him to the next level and increased his attack to five. This is a strong gladiator card.
Conclusion
We earned 3,556 merits and 30 SPS from the brawl. The reward is generous that we get just from joining and playing brawls. With regular brawls, it adds to my weekly SPS stake. I'm grateful to the Pizza guild for accepting me as a member and gave me a regular spot to join the brawls and earn rewards.

If you are a player with few cards in your deck. Join a guild that can assist you to grow in Splinterlands. You can join brawls to earn SPS, enjoy reward multipliers and shop discounts. Since joining a guild, I'm adding my cards by buying from the shop and the market. This makes the game more fun and add progression. If you're not a guild member yet, now is the time to find one.
As a guild member do your part by having the right cards and showing up in the fray you have joined in brawls.
