Pizza A Slice of Madness Brawl Report

Greetings to all Splinterlands players and hive gaming community! This is my report for Pizza A Slice of Madness brawl. We are a guild that plays for fun, competitions and rewards. We play in the weekly guild brawls where we fight other guilds for the fun challenge and prizes. Here is our battle report for the week.

Overall Guild Rank: Second Place

Going into the last hour of the brawl, we were in third place and was behind by two wins against the current second place.

When the final games were done, we stole second place with four more wins than third. Goat Monster took first place with 121 wins while only four wins separated us from third place guild Sator Arepo.

Top Brawl Participants and my Rank

I contributed to this week's brawl with eight wins and only one defeat. I'm tied for third to seventh place in our guild's top contributors. There were two members who had perfect scores that really helped put us in second place.

Selected Games

Here I present some of the games that I won. They are both low mana games that we only had a few cards laid out.

Game 1

For only thirteen mana, I needed to be creative and forced to use Chaos Furybringer in the first position. It's not his usual position but there's not much choice in this game. My trump card was my two mana gladiator. My opponent was suffering as much as I did. He was forced to use a magic summoner and a melee gladiator. It's not a good match but he has little choice too.

Game 2

Game two was limited to twelve mana. I was lucky to have the right cards. I had the Life archon with a magic gladiator card. My opponent's cards were miserable. His front card was an archer with only two attack.

Here is the game that I lost. It was a higher mana game of seventeen. I insisted on having a gladiator card in my team while my opponent chose the best cards.

The games this week were not much fun because of the small amount of mana. I was not able to use my strongest cards and combinations.

Spending the Rewards

I bought two packs and there was still no legendary cards. I got two epic cards as a consolation. One epic card was upgraded to level 2.

Conclusion

We earned 3,667 merits and 30 SPS from the brawl. The reward is generous that we get just from joining and playing brawls. With regular brawls, it adds to my weekly SPS stake. I'm grateful to the Pizza guild for accepting me as a member and gave me a regular spot to join the brawls and earn rewards.
