Opening a Splinterlands Starter Pack
Greetings to all Splinterlands players and hive gaming community! I received a starter pack gift from our guild officer, @aironeous. He is encouraging players with few cards to improve our decks by gifting us cards and packs. We can play in the Modern format with the new cards and get motivated to buy more. The arrangement worked for me as the cards brought me to Silver league. It motivated me to buy more and I'm now saving DEC to improve my cards.
Conclave Arcana Starter Pack
The starter pack is new that came with the Conclave Arcana set. It's the cheapest that can be bought for only 1,000 DEC. It's cheap but there is a disadvantage. There are no epic, legendary and gold foils in this pack. You get only regular foil common and rare cards. The best you can get from this pack are the rare, four mana archons. If you want to bet on getting an archon then the starter pack is the cheapest choice.
Opening the Pack
The best card I obtained from the pack was the rare Shadowfey Shiek. It has Flying and Life Leech skills. It's a new card in my collection that makes me excited to level it up. I want a level two and increase its attack.
Here, Shadowfey Shiek was one of the cards in a game with Earthquake battle modifier. It has flying skills that doesn't take damage from earthquake. See, my opponent had a legendary archon but had no flying units while I had mostly Foundation set cards. Still, my cards won because some had the necessary skills for the earthquake modifier.
The other cards were not as exciting. I already have them and I already bought Portly Cannoneer to level it up to two. This is the reason why I prefer to buy single cards than bet on getting good cards from packs. Chances are higher that I get cards that I already have or don't want. Still, I'm thankful for the gift from our guild officer and I appreciate being in our guild. It helps me grow my cards and staked SPS.
Join a Guild
If you are a player with few cards in your deck. Join a guild that can assist you to grow in Splinterlands. You can join brawls to earn SPS, enjoy reward multipliers and shop discounts. Since joining a guild, I'm adding my cards by buying from the shop and the market. This makes the game more fun and add progression. If you're not a guild member yet, now is the time to find one.
As a guild member do your part by having the right cards and showing up in the fray you have joined in brawls.
