Splinterlands - Fina Voxom is on a Killing Streak [ENG/DE]
Hello Splinterlandians! Anyone who knows me or reads my blogs knows that Fina Voxom is one of my absolute favorite cards in all of Splinterlands. I'm just a big fan of powerful melee attackers, and the combination of abilities, especially Opportunity, Piercing, and Bloodlust, is really cool. Add to that the simple but beautiful artwork on the card and the interesting lore. Whenever I can play Fina Voxom, I try to find a place for her in my lineup.
As part of this week's Splinterlands Social Media Challenge, I would like to introduce you to one of my strategies with Fina Voxom. As always, I have a corresponding battle from the Modern Format for you, which I can use to explain the strategy. The strategy has a few prerequisites in order to be played, but it is very powerful. Rulesets, Manacap and Splinters:
There are two rulesets active in the battle I'm playing. The first is Holy Protection, which isn't necessary for my strategy. You could even say that this ruleset is suboptimal, as my cards will benefit little to nothing from it. The second is Are You Not Entertained?, which is essential for my strategy, as I want to play a Gladiator card in Ranked Modern format with Fina Voxom.
The mana cap is 21, and I would say that's just enough mana available. It shouldn't be any less, as I would recommend this strategy more for mid-mana matchups.
As for the splinters, all except the Water Splinter are available. Obviously, I need the Fire Splinter for my strategy. The Dragon Splinter is not absolutely necessary, but you will see that I will be playing a Dragon Archon.
Lineup and Strategy:

| #2 |  | Behind it comes Nimbledook Scout, a card that is quite important for two reasons. Firstly, it is supposed to act as a kind of second tank, and secondly, I need the Inspire ability because I have deployed a lot of melee attackers. |
| #3 |  | With Torch Vizier, I decided on a kind of partner for Fina Voxom. This unit also has the Opportunity ability, which means that virtually the same targets are attacked and focused on. What's more, this card is simply a force to be reckoned with, if only because of its stats. |
| #4 |  | I have placed Fina Voxom in the fourth position. Here, she is protected as well as possible by my other units and can perform optimally, unleashing her full potential, among other things through the Bloodlust ability. |
| #5 |  | At the very back is Gobalano Soldier. The ability Sneak can also work well with the ability Opportunity in certain circumstances. And since it is also a cheap card and a melee attacker, it was one of the best alternatives available. |
My strategy is probably obvious with this lineup. I try to eliminate my opponent's weak and rear units with my melee attackers using the abilities Opportunity and Sneak. In addition, I will have the ability Ambush three times, once through Gobalano Soldier and twice through Akane, which will hopefully allow me to quickly eliminate enemy units despite the Holy Protection ruleset. Ideally, Fina Voxom will make the kills in order to benefit from the Bloodlust ability, but unfortunately that is difficult to influence.
Battle:
Here you can see my lineup in the battle. By the way, I decided to give Fina Voxom and Torch Vizier the Ambush ability.
When I saw my opponent's lineup, I was initially shocked by the fully leveled Archon. That would allow him to play fully leveled cards, which are of course stronger. But when I took a closer look, I was a little more relaxed because his units weren't at the maximum level and I couldn't really see any strategy behind it. Plus, my opponent wasn't playing a Gladiator.
During the Ambush round, I was only able to destroy a few Divine Shields. However, there were already some changes on the battlefield after the first round. My Fina Voxom was able to get her first kill and improve her stats, but I also lost a unit with Halfling Refugee.
In the second round, Fina Voxom scored her second kill, and my opponent's units are slowly dwindling. Meanwhile, Fina Voxom's stats are getting better and better, and she is slowly becoming unstoppable.
You can probably guess what happened during the third round. That's right, another kill by Fina Voxom. And now only one of my opponent's wounded units stands between me and victory, so I'm pretty much guaranteed to win.
Unsurprisingly, I won the battle, and thanks to Fina Voxom's high speed value, she was also able to get the final kill. This means that Fina Voxom single-handedly eliminated all four enemy units. Of course, I have to admit that my strategy was entirely geared towards her, but I still think it's remarkable and shows how powerful this card can be.

Of course, I'm always especially happy when I win a battle with one of my favorite cards. And this battle shows how powerful Fina Voxom and the other Gladiator cards can be once they get their first kills. I always notice this particularly with Fina Voxom, as her Opportunity and Piercing abilities allow her to rack up a lot of kills. So maybe now you can understand my love for this card.

Wann immer ich Fina Voxom spielen kann, versuche ich einen Platz in meiner Aufstellung für sie zu finden.
Im Rahmen der dieswöchigen Splinterlands Social Media Challenge möchte ich euch daher mal eine meiner Strategien mit Fina Voxom vorstellen. Dafür habe ich wie immer auch ein entsprechendes Battle aus dem Modern Format für euch dabei, anhand dem ich die Strategie erklären kann. Die Strategie hat zwar einige Voraussetzungen um gespielt werden zu können, jedoch ist sie sehr stark. Viel Spaß beim Lesen! 😊
Rulesets, Manacap und Splinters:
In dem Battle, welches ich dabei habe, sind zwei Rulesets aktiv. Das erste ist Holy Protection und ist für meine Strategie nicht erforderlich. Man könnte sogar sagen, dass diese Ruleset eher suboptimal ist, da meine Karten davon kaum bis gar nicht profitieren werden. Das zweite ist Are You Not Entertained?, welches essenziel für meine Strategie ist, da ich mit Fina Voxom eine Gladiator Karte im Ranked Modern Format spielen möchte.
Das Manacap liegt bei 21 und ich würde sagen, dass das gerade noch so genug verfügbares Mana ist. Weniger sollte es nicht unbedingt sein, denn ich würde diese Strategie eher für Mid Mana Matchups empfehlen.
Was die Splinter betrifft, sind alle außer das Water Splinter verfügbar. Offensichtlich benötige ich für meine Strategie das Fire Splinter. Das Dragon Splinter ist zwar nicht unbedingt erforderlich, jedoch werdet ihr sehen, dass ich einen Dragon Archon spielen werde.

| #5 | | Ganz hinten befindet sich Gobalano Soldier. Die Ability Sneak kann unter Umständen auch mit der Ability Opportunity harmonieren. Und da es ebenfalls eine billige Karte und ein Melee Attacker ist, war das eine der besten verfügbaren Alternativen. |
Meine Strategie ist mit dieser Aufstellung vermutlich offensichtlich. Ich versuche mit meinen Melee Attackern mit den Abilities Opportunity und Sneak die schwachen und hinteren Einheiten meines Gegners zu eliminieren. Dazu kommt noch, dass ich dreimal die Ability Ambush haben werde, einmal durch Gobalano Soldier und zweimal durch Akane, und dadurch hoffentlich trotz dem Ruleset Holy Protection schnell gegnerische Einheiten eliminieren kann. Im Bestfall macht die Kills natürlich Fina Voxom, um von der Ability Bloodlust zu profitieren, aber das ist leider schwierig zu beeinflussen.
Battle:
Hier könnt ihr meine Aufstellung im Battle sehen. Ich habe mich übrigens dafür entschieden Fina Voxom und Torch Vizier die Ability Ambush zu verleihen.
Als ich die Aufstellung meines Gegners sah, war ich anfangs wegen dem voll geleveltem Archon erstmal geschockt. Das würde es ihm ermöglichen voll gelevelte Karten zu spielen, die natürlich stärker sind. Als ich aber genauer hinsah, war ich etwas beruhigter, da seine Einheiten nicht auf dem Maximallevel waren und ich auch keine wirkliche Strategie dahinter erkennen konnte. Außerdem spielte mein Gegner keinen Gladiator.
Während der Ambush Runde konnte ich nur einige Divine Shields zerstören, jedoch gab es nach der ersten Runde bereits einige Veränderungen auf dem Battlefield. Meine Fina Voxom konnte ihren ersten Kill holen und ihre Stats verbessern, jedoch habe ich mit Halfling Refugee ebenfalls eine Einheit verloren.
In der zweiten Runde folgte schon der zweite Kill von Fina Voxom und die Einheiten meines Gegners werden langsam weniger. Währenddessen werden die Stats von Fina Voxom immer besser und sie ist so langsam unaufhaltbar.
Ihr ahnt es vermutlich bereits, was während der dritten Runde passiert ist. Richtig, ein weiterer Kill von Fina Voxom. Und nun steht meinem Sieg nur noch eine verwundete Einheit meines Gegners im Weg, sodass mir der Sieg quasi sicher ist.
Wenig überraschend konnte ich das Battle gewinnen und durch den hohen Speed Wert von Fina Voxom konnte sie sich auch den letzten Kill holen. Damit hat Fina Voxom im Alleingang alle vier gegnerischen Einheiten eliminiert. Natürlich muss man jetzt zugeben, dass meine Strategie voll und ganz auf sie ausgelegt war, jedoch finde ich das trotzdem beachtlich und zeigt wie stark diese Karte sein kann.

Es freut mich natürlich immer besonders, wenn ich ein Battle mit einer meiner Lieblingskarten gewinnen kann. Und dieses Battle zeigt, wie stark Fina Voxom bzw. auch die anderen Gladiator Karten sein können, wenn sie mal die ersten Kills bekommen. Bei Fina Voxom fällt mir das immer besonders auf, da vor allem durch die Abilities Opportunity und Piercing viele Kills gemacht werden können.
