Recharge is an ability most of us don't really like. It's a "slow" ability. U only get to attack once in every 2 turns! That's why we like double attack so much, attacking twice in 1 turn, that's 4 times the attacks that a recharge monster has.
At least the recharge attack hits hard. The x3 damage is nice to see on the screen, and if it hits the right monster it obliterates them in one hit! It sure is very satisfying to see a big tank die to a recharge attack!
In this example my opponent chose to play a recharge monster. You will see the manifestation of "We don't like Recharge".

the problem with recharge is that it has to go several rounds into the battle to become a positive. If the game is too fast, the recharge just isn't beneficial. When the opponent's recharge monster gets to the first position, it's quick to die.
The only good recharge monster that I use is Uriel the Purifier. Because of the value he brings as a tank. All the other ones I do not like.
