I think you are one of the rare cases who is not here for the money. I've been here since 2020; I have earned, and many have earned, and the trust of the team, plus all the work they have done, gives me the confidence to stay here, but I am sure that many earn, hundreds of them, in fact, you just have to look at the numbers, everything is on the blockchain.
If I like the game, it entertains me without a doubt, but I also see it as work, creating content, plus investing in the game, even though it is a game built with the purpose of its assets having real value; this alone attracts players who want rewards.
But I'm glad there are people who aren't here for the rewards, but for the love of the game. After all, in some way, you provide liquidity to the market, and that's good for everyone.
Well yes, there is always that first mover advantage and the greater fool theory at work. So I'm sure there are plenty of people like you mentioned who got in A/B and sold near the peak during Untamed and early Chaos Legion that did very very well. Land as well surely printed thousands and thousands in profit for those in early.
But those people who got in early and have held through, they may have missed the boat. It will be hard to ever reclaim that 2020 era hype because nobody has the free time to just hang out at home and play with crypto like we did back then.
The profits to be made now come through investing time and effort creating a successful third party system. Or those like you who create content through carious channels. I know a few who try to snipe the market or look for underpriced cards to flip, but on the whole, prices just trend down over time for most of the assets outside the A/B/U cards for land. Even trying to front-run the token price appreciation has been more difficult the past few years.
