Frontier Battle - Global Warming
Hello, Splinterlands players! I hope everyone is having a great day and enjoying their battles in the game. Today, I’m sharing another battle from the Frontier battlefield. I’ve been playing Frontier Mode daily and this time I wanted to share a battle that I won while completing my daily mission. My goal is to complete the mission which will allow me to earn Foundation Packs. I’m looking forward to opening it because there’s always a chance of getting some useful cards and other nice rewards.
For now, let’s take a look at the battle that helped me progress toward completing the mission. Hopefully, this is another step toward getting some great rewards from my Foundation Packs.
The ruleset is Global Warming. The meta strategy for this ruleset is to have Earth element and include Dread Tafarian and Time Bandit in the team. Dread Tafarian has self healing ability while Time Bandit removes burning effect. My strategy is different. I prefer to fight fire with fire. My strategy is to ignore burning and concentrate on my attack. In this case, I don't have the Earth element but have Water instead. Water has the highest attack because the archon increases the damage of magic.
My first card has no attack but has high health. I know this runs counter to my strategy but there's no four mana card to fit the bill in this case.
My second card has two attacks but it can only attack with magic for now. Once he moves to first position when the first card gets killed then it can attack with dual melee and magic.
My third and last card has the highest attack. It's attack is four magic that includes the buff from the archon. In this card relies my strategy to damage the enemy big before burning gets my cards.
As I expected the opposing team had Earth with Dread Tafarian and Time Bandit. One other card was included to complete the twenty eight mana requirement.
In the fight, while its true that his Dread Tafarian did not burn but my magic team killed it anyway. It shows that my strategy works and conventional knowledge of fighting the burning effect does not always work as shown in this match.
