Frontier Battle - Dragon Breath

Hello, Splinterlands players! I hope everyone is having a great day and enjoying their battles in the game.

Today, I’m back with another battle from Frontier Format. I have been playing this format daily and I thought I would share a battle that I won while working on my daily mission. My main goal is to complete the mission and earn Foundation Packs. You never know what you might get, and I’m hoping to find some useful cards and other valuable rewards that can help strengthen my collection.

But before we get to the rewards, let’s take a look at the battle that brought me one step closer to completing my mission. Hopefully, this victory will lead to some great pulls when I finally get to open my Foundation packs.

The battle modifier had Dragon Breath.

Units hit directly by a magic or ranged attack receive the Burning effect (at the beginning of each round, Burning has a 33% chance to spread to adjacent units, then all Burning units lose 2 health; burning can be cleansed).

With this modifier, it just makes sense to have magic and range cards so I chose the Water element. My first card was Port Guardian, the only melee card to take the initial hits from the opponent.

Second card was Great Bear Druid. It has two attacks of melee and magic.

Third card was Saltwater Mage, a magic unit with two power.

Fourth was Water-Logged Wizard. It's attack power is only one but I have nothing better to put.

Fifth was Mystic Scaleweaver. It has the highest attack among my cards and has an ability to slow the opponent.

Last but not the least was a range card. A'lan Musketeer hits two times with double strike.

My opponent had Life element. It has an armor buff but that doesn't stop magic. He also had less magic and range units so he did not benefit from the modifier that much. My team had more power, got the burning advantage and won.
