Hello Splinter nerds
There are some cards that players rarely use in battle, and one of these cards is Gorgug the Endless, the Water Splinter Conclave Arcana Archon. This card is good, but unfortunately, the other two summoners, Cryptic and Zeddica
, outshine it.
Gorgug is an Archon with 2 stats, the first one is -1 range attack from all the opponent team using range attack, and the second stat is linked with monsters that share the same bloodline with it, it gives them the enrage ability... Not all players are familiar with the bloodline Dominion... Other splinter monsters that share the same bloodline with it can be summoned by it, and they also get the enrage ability.
I was paired with pancholfugazi in one of the lowest mana in battles on Splinterland, or should I be exact and say it is the third to the lowest mana in battle, we were given 14 mana and 3 rules.
This rule indicates that only 4 monsters can be summoned in the battle.
This rule indicates that all units in both teams have the return fire ability, which returns 50% damage done by range attackers.
All the monsters have +2 armor.
To spice things up for me and the opponent, only one splinter was available, which is the water, so whatever we plan to use will be from the splinter, and the only difference would be our choice of summoner and monsters.
After thinking for some seconds, a badass lineup came to my mind, but winning is not guaranteed, and things could go wrong, but it is a risk I was willing to take.
Below is the screenshot of the formation that the opponent and I used.
The same way I was cooking a badass formation, the opponent was also preparing something mind-blowing to defeat me, and I applaud him for his setup because if my monsters were not fast enough, he could have won the battle.
With only 14 mana available, I must be wise with my choice of monsters especially their mana and my first pick was Halfling Refugee, this monster is only 1 mana but it has 8 health which some monsters with higher mana doesn't have and its attack is also 5, the only disadvantage to the card is the weary
ability. It took some heavy damage from the opponent before I lost it in the battle.
Elanor was my second monster, and it is a zero mana card; it consumes no mana but is capable of causing damage to the opponent's monster, even though in this battle, it was the first to die due to the opponent's water diviner attacking it first as the monster with the lowest health in my team.
Water Diviner was my third monster, and it is a 2 mana card. I needed his electrified
ability to trigger the enrage ability on one of my monsters who shares the same bloodline with the summoner I used, and it was a success. The monster will be revealed soon, as it is the last card on my team. Diviner was able to take down one of the opponent monsters [ Endless Gibbon]
Venka was my last monster and also the only monster that shares the same bloodline with Gorgug. He got the Enrage ability, which got triggered by the Electrified ability from the water diviner. The rest was history the moment Venka's Enrage got triggered, his beast mode was activated, and he slaughtered the opponent's last 2 monsters in the blink of an eye.
