Synergy at its Finest: The combo Of Cavewise Wayfinder and Vicious Giraffe

Hello Splinter nerds

The season ends in less than 20 hours, and gameplay has been awesome since there is now an option to turn off the liquidity bot... Oh yeah, if the liquidity bot is the reason why you lost interest in modern gameplay, there is a solution now.

Go to Splinterland in-game page, click on Settings and the page above will pop up, scroll down and locate the battle option, and right there, as seen in the SS below, turn on the no liquidity Bot matches.

Those bots were a pain in the ass, even though the reason for creating them was good. They are overpowered and have all cards, which makes it difficult for humans to beat them, and also defeats the purpose of no bots in the modern format.

Gone are the days when Grimbardun Smith was one of the most sought-after tanks in the game. Vile the venka first of all makes players think twice before using Smith as their tank. Now, the release of the Conclave Arcana set changed the gameplay as we now have more monsters that can serve as a tank in each splinter, but today I will be talking about one of the best monsters used as a tank in the fire splinter. It is called Cavewise Wayfinder, and guess what? This monster is truly a pathfinder as it creates a path for his team to penetrate the opponent team.

Cavewise has four amazing abilities that made him so good in battle...

  • Reckless: This is a new ability that comes with the conclave arcana set, at first I saw it as a bad ability but now I know better, No ability is bad, it just depends on how we use them, when a monster with the reckless ability attacks, allied opponent adjacent to it suffered a damage but this get better when those allied monster adjacent to it has the painforge ability and with every hit on them, they grow more powerful even tho they lose one health.
  • Ambush: This ability gives it the chance to attack before the round starts, and often this attack makes the opponent vulnerable to its next hit.
  • Void: This ability makes him not suffer any damage from magic monsters with only 1 magic attack, but for those with 2 or more magic attacks, it is rounded up to 50%, so it takes 50% less damage from magic attacks.
  • Enrage: Last but not least is this ability, which turns him into a beast. It gives him 50% more melee power and speed when he loses part of his health.

I had a battle where I felt I could make good use of him. It was a 3-rule combo.

The main reason I use Cavewise is because of the first rule, High Five, which indicates that only 5 monsters can be used. I usually come up with my best fighters when it comes to this rule, the second rule means monsters lose all abilities that restore health which gives me less worry and the last is the Fog of War which indicate monsters lose their sneak, snipe and opportunity abilities but I am less bothered about it too and below is the formation I came up with and the reason behind it.

The opponent used the water splinter, which is also good for the ruleset, while I used the Fire splinter using Risqruel Drath plus his Aim true and Impede stats.

Cavewise Wayfinder was my tank and one of the beneficiaries of the Aim true & Impede stats gotten from the summoner used. The moment I saw the opponent formation and his tank, I knew I was in for a lot of misses because his Commander Slade is hard to hit, Cavewise is powerful, but I can't control the misses, but the aim true gave me the confidence I needed.

Vicious Giraffe was my second monster, it pairs awesomely with the cavewise by giving it shield, it has reach ability and can attack in the second position, its shatter ability also helps to clear the armor from the opponent team that might hinder Cavewise's attack. It also has the Painforge ability, and if you watch the battle, you will see how his attack and speed increase whenever Cavewise hits the opponent. Both of them are double trouble.

Silverleaf Mage is a taunt monster, and its main purpose is to direct all the opponent attacks to it so my other monsters would have the chance to launch their attacks. It also has the poison burst so the opponent monster that defeats it will suffer poison damage and there is a 50% chance the poison can also be spread to monsters adjacent to the attacker.

Rush Townsend is my fourth monster and a very powerful one with a 5-range attack. It is the second beneficiary of the Aim true and Impede stats from Drath. It did a good job with its fatal attack in the battle.

Lord Thanalor is the last monster on my team. I used it for his Rust ability, which takes 2 armor away from all the opponent monsters with armor. I do not want any hindrance in the way of my monsters' attack, and it helped a great deal.

The Opponent must be disappointed after seeing my team and the summoner I used, and probably lost hope when he realized that I use the Aim True and Impede stats and not the Taunt and redemption stats, as that could have been his only way to win the battle.
