BattleField Breakthroughs: When Reckless meets Pain forge, Monsters become Unstoppable

Hello Splinter nerds

Some victories on Splinterlands are so satisfying. This often happens when you predict the opponent's moves and set up a formation to counter them, which ends up favoring you. At other times, it is just a random formation that pops into your head, which you decide to risk, and it ends up being successful.

I play a lot of games on the second and third day of the new season because I have a lot of energy to use and the sps pool is high at this time, so I use up all energy and also take up the 3 chests to batch 4 just to have more energy to battle. It was during one of my battles that I was paired with "Magehan" in a 3-combo rule set.

The first rule was Armored up, which indicates all monsters have +2 armor. Equalizer was the second rule, and it means all monsters have the same health as the monster with the highest health in either team, and the last rule was Going the Distance, which indicates that only range monsters can be used in the battle.

The battle cap was 14 mana, which means we have to think well before coming up with a team!.

The opponent used a 3 mana dual summoner[ water and death] while I used Razi Clanktrap

Razi is a death splinter Archon with 2 stats. The first stat is close range which allows all range monsters to attack in the front position, and this is something that is useful in the battle since it is only range monsters allowed. The second stat is linked with his bloodline and is called Painforge. It adds +1 power, which is triggered when hit by an ally, burn, or poison.

When I saw the rule set, one random tactic crossed my mind, and I needed Razi to make it happen, so I used Razi to summon my monsters, and here is the screenshot of our lineup below.

Like I have always said, it is not always by the numbers of monsters. The opponent was able to squeeze in 5 monsters, even with the 14 mana battle cap, and I was only able to use 4 monsters.

Every reckless hit turns to rage

In this battle, I fully relied on the combo of Halfshell Seer and Lucky Longshot to win this battle, and the main reason I am dependent on these monsters to win is because of the abilities they possess, 1 ability each to be specific, Seer has Reckless ability that causes 1 damage to adjacent units with each successful attack while Lucky longshot has the Painforge which would be triggered through reckless hit.

Both monsters did all the killings, the other two monsters were useful too, cos without them, it won't have been possible... They took the opponent's hit and delayed him from getting to my two main attackers, which resulted in my victory!

You may also want to try this crazy combo, pair up a monster with Reckless and Painforge, and witness some fatal attacks!.

It is not only reckless ability that can trigger the Painforge, there is also Electrified ability, but this is more extreme because damage is done to all the monsters in your team, so having a monster with such ability is a good choice when you use the Razi summoner that gives painforge to all your monsters but if that is not the case, you may want to be careful so you do not end up terminating your monsters.
