Splinterlands KPI Review: 11/17/2024

Another week, another edition of the "Splinterlands KPIs" series, where I track several metrics I find important on a weekly basis to see how our beloved game & economy are developing.

For most KPIs, I put a quick visual indicator as follows:
🟢 Good progress
🔴 Bad progress
🟡 Middling

When deltas are shown, they indicate the week-over-week progress.

GAME ECONOMY

SPS

DEC & Market Activity

Another TERRIFIC week for Crypto, with Bitcoin hitting a new all time high. SPS followed suit, rising ~15% and climbing back up to 1005th on CMC (i.e. doing better than the average low-cap).

DEC stayed quite flat, largely due to an influx in DEC supply as >2M SPS was burned this week (largely courtesy of @aggroed), minting DEC in the process. This exchange produces DEC of course, but it's a fantastic thing to see at the current SPS price.

Market activity stayed healthy at nearly $10k/day.

COMPANY SALES

Rebellion sales are almost at a standstill at this point, with players likely focusing more of their funds towards promo cards as well as opportunities in the secondary markets, as evidenced by the high volumes there.

GAME ACTIVITY

Both DAA and battles increased by a little over 2% over the week.

NEW PLAYERS

Account signups went up this week, as well as spellbook purchases (ever so slightly). I'll wait for a few more weeks of good data before being excited though.
