Bossingclint Brawl Report 1 Apr

Introduction
Hey all, I hope all of you are doing great thus far for the week. Wishing all an amazing month of April as today is the first day of April. I am back again to do a brawl report from the latest brawl that concluded about a days ago and glad that I am able to gather my thoughts and pen down the outcome of this brawl for my future learning from mistakes I made etc before the next brawl starts. This report serves as a documentation of my past battles to allow me to learn better and find out the gaps in my collection that needs additional boost. Playing in a much stronger tier brawl was never going to a walk in the park, hence there will be loads to learn and to be ready.

Let's get right on into the various matches.

Brawl Matches

Recently I have been cycling between both wild and modern fray. Haven't found what truly works for me so I will continue tinkering and see how each one works out. So let's dive in to the matches I had and do some reflections on how I can do better for next brawl.

Match 1:

Comment: This is an interesting match whereby magic is a nono and all we have is the neutral cards that I have in possession. After getting Halfling Refugee, I had more options in terms of my lineup and in return this helped me to get a nice victory while the rest of my lineup started clearing up my opponent cards one by one.

Comment: My goodness, this is a triple heal combo that I am facing. I have to admit, no matter how hard I was bale to strike, this kind of consistent healing is just too much to handle. Match lost even when I field a very strong lineup.

Comment: To fight a mage only matchup with an opponent whom has Alric boosting damage for his lineup is a big uphill task and for sure a miracle if able to beat them for it. Very strong lineup from my opponent. Another match lost.

Match 4:

Comment: Non melee i fielded what I had but facing 2 Gladius cards with blast in this match, it proved to be a big problem as the blast will help create more damage to my cards and even when killed by blast, opponent blood lust will still trigger which will be a big pain point for me. But surprisingly before opponent can grow my own cards able to deal huge damage and cleared off my opponent's cards instead. A surprise win!

Match 5:

Remarks: A match combination that I have never even seen. But somehow it looked super effective with the piercing and also the double strikes. I am totally caught by surprise for this matchup and was totally outclassed. A brilliant game play by my opponent, kudos for that.

Remarks: While I thought I had a chance, Marisol was wrecking my lineup with the superb speed and ever growing blood lust that is so hard to contain. Good one from my opponent with the selection

Brawl Results

I am assigned only 7 matches for this brawl of which I win only 3 out of the 7 matches with 1 additional free win from missing frays from other guild not filling up and 1 fled opponent. Not a strong performance but definitely loads to take away in terms cards to buy which I think I will cover in another separate post.

We came in once at again at position 7, no improvement though we very much have a bigger number of people joining the brawl. However the wins gap is huge and we are a whopping 13 match lower than the rank 6 guild. We are improving but we will need to accelerate a little to become better and get more wins to climb the ranks.

Closing
I think I am slowly learning to use my collection better but for sure more cards need to be added to do better in brawls. Collection wise is still a little bare and need to be worked on further.
