Hey Splinterfans, it is time again for the Social Media Challenge and I would like to report more on my activities to level up soulbound legendaries. The latest one that I have upgraded is Drybone Raider and he has quickly become one of my favourite inclusions in higher mana battles. He has fantastic stats at max level, check it out:
He has Double Strike and dual-attack. That is impressive attack capability and with certain rulesets, such as Equal Opportunity, where he will attack 4 times, he is absolutely lethal. This is what I want to share with you in today's showcase battle.
So here we have a high battle with two rulesets. Here are the stats:
image stats
Rulesets: Briar Patch and *Equal Opportunity
Mana cap: 53
Splinters: Death and Life
When the Equal Opportunity ruleset comes up, players usually bring out the big hitters and include Double Strike monster whenever possible. When these monsters also have dual-attack, all hell break loose! Drybone Raider is the only monster in the game with both Double Strike and dual-attack (please correct me if I am wrong)!
My strategy in this battle is to bring Drybone Raider to take advantage of the Equal Opportunity ruleset and at the same time place a martyr next to him to give him even more striking power. Here is the team I put together:
As I have already revealed my strategy with Drybone Raider and Venari Marksrat, I am going to add it the carnage by bringing Astral Entity to resurrect Venary Marksrat. My opponent will have no chance!!
A great tank to lead the pack is Harklaw. Shield and Demoralize are great defense abilities at the frontend to let the rest of the team do its work.
Pelacor Deceiver is one of my favourite actors in Equal Opportunity as he is fast, hits hard and costs only 5 mana. His attacks are quick and effective and when attacked, the ****Retaliate*** ability will inflict extra damage to the enemy.
Djinn Muirat is an important inclusion in this setting as his has solid 3 magic attack. He is a bit slow but has great defenses and can sit safely in the middle of the pack.
Here is our bay Drybone Raider. We will let him speak for himself during this epic battle.
Venari Marksrat is here to die twice and give lots of boosts to his buddies either side of him.
Usut is the next soulboud legendary that I have maxed. I will feature him in next weeks Social Media Challenge.
So now that the team has been put together and the strategy is in place, let's take a look at how this battle plays out:
There are a lot of big guns in the field to contest this epic battle. In the enemy cam, there are Uriel, Jared and Iziar. There are also Djinn Renova and a Resurrect, Adelade Brightwing. And Doctor Blight is always a dangerous opponent. So this will be an interesting battle and my victory is by no mean guaranteed.
The round began with Pelacor Deceiver attacking first as expected. Iziar then took out Venari Marks rat like he should to give Drybone Raider and Uzut those sweet boosts and Astral Entity swiftly brought him back. Venary Marksrat was then taken out a second time to give a second batch of boosts. These are the perfect circumstances for the adjacent monsters, as they hadn't even fired the first time.
Then came Drybone Raider's big moment. Within a single round, he disposed of Iziar, which significantly changed the game balance to our favour. Jared took out Pelacor Deceiver and he now became extremely dangerous after bloodlusting twice. This was getting hairy! Iziar finally left a second time and gave Jared and Brightwing extra fire power. The battle was evenly poised at the end of an eventful round with both teams going through 2 martyr resurrections.
Usut took out Adelade Brightwing before she could inflict more damage. Then came Drybone Raider again. With two strikes he disposed of Djinn Renova and reduced Jared to 3 health with the following 2 strikes. Uriel, when he was finally able to strike, was ineffective against Harklaw's shield defenses. Jared then perished at the hands of Djinn Muirat, which left only Uriel and Doctor Blight, who had been accumulating plenty of health but otherwise being rather ineffective.
Round three saw Drybone Raider have Uriel for breakfast before succumbing to Thorns.
Two quick magic hits on Doctor Blight ended the battle. That was good timing cause the pizza delivery dude was at the door.
What a sight!
I hope your like my epic battle in today's Social Media Challenge. It was certainly worth the DEC to upgrade Drybone Raider! See ya later, aligators!

All you need to move cards and other ingame assets around is a Hive Keychain login. There are three types of battles you can play: ranked battles, brawls and tournaments. Every battle you win brings rewards, including SPS and/or loot chests containing cards, potions, packs and merits. The ingame currency is DEC and the governance token is SPS. For gladiator packs you need to earn merits through brawls and loot chests. Tournaments can bring you stacks of SPS if you play well.
