Hola querido hiver.

Hi, dear hiver.
If you’re a fan of the Star Wars saga, stick around for this post because you’re going to enjoy it. To be honest, that’s not really me. Until a few months ago, I’d only seen one of the films in this hugely successful franchise, and I did so just to go along with my group of friends, not because I fancied it. However, over the years I’ve grown to love science fiction and it’s now one of my favourite genres.
The day I visited Mobility City, this exhibition that I’m sharing today had finished. You can imagine my surprise when I discovered that it had been extended and was still on display and open to the public. That day, episodes IV and V of the Star Wars saga were still fresh in my mind as I’d watched them recently, so I really enjoyed it.
The truth is that up until then I’d only seen Attack of the Clones, and that was just out of a sense of obligation. But obviously the characters and the main storyline weren’t unfamiliar to me. The Star Wars phenomenon goes beyond a film franchise; you could say it’s almost a cultural movement that encompasses a whole world around it.
The exhibition features hundreds of items that were part of the original film shoots, including life-size figures, dioramas and official reproductions, accompanied by their certificates of authenticity, making it one of the most comprehensive collections in Europe.
The exhibits were arranged in the order in which the films were made. Obviously, the largest section – and the one I liked best – was the first part, which is the best known to the general public and laid the foundations for the whole Star Wars phenomenon. I’d particularly highlight the life-size replicas of the main characters, and my favourite among them, Master Yoda. It felt as though you start talking to him could, hehe.
When I got to the section with the newer films that I wasn’t familiar with, I started to feel tired and became more selective with the photos. I didn’t know the importance of the characters in the plot either, let’s be honest...
But before I finished, I came across the baby version of Yoda, which I loved, and also a section selling merchandise from the franchise. It was the perfect end to this tour, which took me back to times gone by with a taste of the future and has encouraged me to carry on watching the films.
May the force be with you!
Until the next post. In the meantime, take care!

Amazing that a person can have so much fantasy to create a world like that and be able to visualise it , and let the rest of the world enjoy his fantasy. The amount of creative people that have worked on this story to bring it in to the theaters is just amazing . !PIMP
Oh, yes. You may or may not like these movies, but the imagination and the work behind them is to be admired. The first episodes were authentic works of crafts, now almost everything is CGI.
i've seen the first three movies in Cinema back in the days THX sound was amazing ! , but most of the follow ups i have a hard time to watch . I did enjoy playing the star wars the old republic game online , adn offcourse the old star wars game back in the day in the arcade and on the Amiga Computers, but most of the other games they lost the magic .

Great post, especially for fans of the series.
I'm fascinated by science fiction, although I prefer to consume it in written form. I hope that one day they'll make a good TV series based on Isaac Asimov's Trantor trilogy, which ended up being six exciting books.
Science fiction in books is hard for me to carry, that of imagining things that do not exist novel is not good for me, I lose the thread easily. I'm a fan of the historical novel, although sometimes they are really more science fiction than history. 🤣
Have you seen Project Hail Mary or read the book? I saw the movie recently and I thought it was wonderful. 😍

Bonita exposición... mi estimada, Paloma.
Nice exhibition... my dear, Paloma.
Anda, que chuloooo!! Yo tuve uno de los soldados. 😆
I remember being a big fan of SciFi movies and books in my childhood, but also in my teenage years... I still like to watch a good SciFi movie, but not as much as before...
Despite all that, I wasn't a big fan of SW when I was a kid... I mean, I watched all the movies, and some TV series too, but I liked the "other side", the Star Trek! 😱 I don't know why, I can't explain, but it clicked more for me... 😃
But, expositions like this are always interesting to see! Thanks for sharing it! 🙏
The only science fiction I read as a child was Jules Verne. As I say in another comment, to read I prefer the historical but as for movies I have become afficionado and now it is a genre that I love.
I remember Star Trek but I was late to see it, I only know about it because it is another popular cultural reference. 😆
