These games always cost a lot of Hive or Steem to play. I remember spending hundreds of Steem to buy my Steem Monster Cards, Now Splinterlands back when Steem was around $4 USD … I should have bought 100 Bitcoin instead …. Lesson learned … from now on I am using all my extra crypto to buy Bitcoin.

Or you could have sold in 2021 when Splinterlands cards went through the roof. Now P2E games are not as profitable but there's still some fun to be had from them.
