Sounds like a good treat! Just to clarify, it will apply to both opened and unopened Vials correct?

Until opening is possible it'll mainly go to closed vials however once it's possible to open them majority will go towards items and creatures since closed vials have re-sale "value" in and of themselves in the future. It'll most likely be a 20/80 split.
Then it'll depend a lot on creature and item rarities similar to how the current achievement is in different tiers, the harder/less likely it is to obtain an item or creature of a certain rarity the more weight they will have towards the zing collection rewards!
In the 3rd phase once beta is released players will be able to increase their weight even further by capturing creatures and crafting items + beta vials.
