This is a short post to remind gamers of a few important things as Rise of the Pixels goes live on Monday April 22, 2024.

1: 🎁 Pre-launch Event ending + the first Studio Avatar prizes

As its name suggests, the pre-launch event will end the moment we go Live with the full game. The leaderboard raffle will take place shortly after—over 200 $HIVE worth of prizes up for grabs.

Ten special Studio Avatars (8 common, 2 rare) will be given to the Top Ten on the leaderboard.
(This is the only way to get Studio Avatars right now and some give your studio a bonus) This is in addition to the raffle. There are now icons on the leaderboard to show this (see image below). Rare Avatars and above (Epic, Legendary) give in game bonuses. Learn more about how they work here.

2: 😍 Special launch bonuses

For 48 hours after launch, $PXL rewards for game creation will have a boost, benefiting those who use their worker NFTs to make and release games. Also for 72 hours after launch, the Cid Meier Recruiter will offer a discount on his unique services.

3: 🔥 Get ready for the Post-launch raffle & event!

This is the big one, with about 5x the amount of prizes than the pre-launch event. We will “start” it on April 25 (three days after launch) and it will end one week later. Start is in quotes because technically you can earn event points as soon as the game goes live, we just may not display a leaderboard or make a big post about the event until we’ve sorted out the pre-launch event stuff.

So this is a notice for all those paying attention: learn about what earns you post-launch event points, and do those things as soon as we are live! Any RotP NFT pack you’ve purchased (since the first sale months ago) counts towards the post-launch event points. But in-game actions and things like pack opening start counting from the moment we launch.

Prize pool sneak peek: Around 20 Studio Avatars (there will be a legendary up for grabs!), at least 100 packs, and a lot of liquid Hive.
