Hello everyone in this amazing community and welcome to the month of February.
Am really grateful and hopeful concerning this month.
It was really a busy day but i had in mind to create something for myself before i take a rest for the day.
I had this nice ankara fabric which was 6yards
It was given to me by my sister
Her reason was,she was gifted a similar fabric by a friend so she decided to give out the old one, then she called me to pick it up .
On reaching her place i saw the fabric, indeed i was so grateful.
I brought it back home and i couldn't sew immediately because of my tight schedule.
Over the weekend i decided to take 3yards from the fabric and to sew a simple gown for myself.
It was easily accessible and affordable.
The steps i took were simple and most importantly am glad it came out well
Firstly i took my full length and i added some extra inches for sewing allowance.
I just wanted something simple, free and short.
Next thing i did was to take my shoulder measurements ,and i also took my burst measurements with sewing allowance and i made a free gown cut .
It was a simple free gown so i didn't make used of lining except just for the neck.
For the neck measurements i took 3 inches for vertical and i took three half for the horizontal Because i didn't want the neck to be too loose.
For the back,i didn't used a zip but i made a slit about six inches for it to be easy to wear.
Aften then, i ironed it for it to be neat.
I joined the from the shoulder and i shaped it to the body size measurements that i wanted
While sewing through i was tired because of the stress i had gone through before i started sewing
It was a nice time though i had spent more than 3 hours through Cutting and sewing.
But am grateful that it came out well and i still have 3yards of this fabric left, which ill sew a different style with it.
wow the fabric is cool and i like the color and style
Thank you so much
I loved the fabric right from the first day I saw it.
This is simply beautiful, you turned the gifted fabric into a little wonder, I love the neat finishing. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much for liking it
