Hello everyone in this wonderful community @needleworkmonday.
Am glad for the new week and the new month
I am hopeful and positive that this month will be nice with us all.
Today am here to share with you the dress i made for myself.
I went to the fabric store and i saw some vintage material
I was confused on what to choose so i told the seller to make a choice for me
She selected few and told me to pick one from it
Well i had to select from the above photo the green colour fabric.
I just needed a gown but i wanted it to be a bit stylish
So i decided to make the down part of it a bit stylish.
My first step was to cut out the upper part of the gown ,which i did after i might have taken my measurements.
For the down part of the gown i made gathers for it
My first plan was to create pleatings but there was no electricity for ironing
So i changed my choice and went for gathers style.
Firstly i used hand needle and thread to fix it and i later used the machine to make it more firmly.
The next step i took was for the hand of the dress.
I wanted a short sleeve hand and i cut it out
After taking the length and my short sleeve measurements.
After all that i sewed it all through joined all the pieces together and my dress was ready
Am glad i did something new for myself
And i am happy to share it with you all
I hope you will like it.
The gathers is beautiful too and I'm already thinking of borrowing your style. The way Power supply aways change our design sometimes is amusing.
My dear sister, most times we would have loved to create different designs
But when you are limited because of electricity it's just to think deeply and create another design
You have made a very beautiful dress. I really like it. The print is also very cute.
Thank you so much
It was the printing that attracted me at first
This is beautiful and easy to make with the step by step illustration.
Yes,it is
You can try it out at your leisure time
It's really simple to make
It is lovely, elegant, and beautiful. It is well fitted. It looks amazing. You did a great job! Thank you. Keep it up!
