I surprised my friend's daughter with a dress

Happy new week to everyone @needleworkmonday it was indeed a fun filled weekend but a bit stressful.
Today I am glad I could do something good for my daughter's friend.

Truthfully I didn't plan for it and I never thought that I could do something good before an hour.
But she came earlier today to the shop since they are on holiday,
She usually come come around to play with my kids
And she admires most clothes I make for my customers,so at the close of work today I decided to gift her a new dress,I didn't plan it but I had some free time to use.

Here are some materials i used in creating this dress

• African print fabric
• Black zip
• Black lining
• Scissors

First step

I took her measurements,the shoulder, burst,half length and full length
And I was ready to start sewing,at first,i cut out the front side of the dress and for the sleeve,I didn't have any intention of putting sleeves because the fabric wasn't big enough

Next step
For the back ,I had used allowance of one an a half inches for the zip
And I sew it on the lining

*Next stage
For the down part of it I made the gathers
And it lining and I fixed and sew it on the top
Sooner,the dress was ready and my friend's child was playing so I called her to wear it and it fitted just so fine.
