I am very happy to be here again with you all. I hope all is well.
I am here to share with you all how I made a unique jump suit for my little baby girl.
It was like a challenge to myself. I like jumpsuits, and everyday people are wearing them out, but I just ask myself when and how I will sew them to myself, so I keep the challenge to myself that I must try it by myself as long as I know how to cut and sew female and male trousers. I was looking for someone to back me, but I went through YouTube. Although I didn't have enough fabric, the only one that left with me was not even a yard, so I decided to sew it myself. The material is chiffon, so I decided to give it a try.
Here is the material that I am using.
All the materials I'm working with are:
the main fabric
gold trimming
measuring tape
sewing machine, etc.
The first thing I do is cut out the half length, so I folded the material into two equal parts. I measured her shoulder, her burst, her body, and her normal half length. For the neckline, I did not want it to be too wide.
After cutting the front, I folded the material again and placed the front on it. I added two inches for zipper allowance and cut
This makes me understand that a jump suit has two parts, but I was confused on how it would look. After cutting the half length, I draft the down part, which is the trouser.
After cutting the front part, I folded the material again and placed the front on it, and I put some allowance in the back part and cut.
I was thinking of something like a flay cape on the neckline. I didn't know what it would look like, so after cutting it, I realized that it would make it beautiful.
So I then used my sewing machine to join it, and finally, here is the outcome of the dress. With this first try, I believe that I can cut and sew a jumpsuit, and I will love to try it again.
How do you guys see it? I will love to hear from you in the comments section.
