Hi bloggers beautiful morning to you All
So I couldn't make a post throughout yesterday or participate on anything on Hive due to the fact that I couldn't get to subscribe to my phone before night comes but I eventual find means to sort it out and I rush to Hive this morning simply because I must mark register today and participate in activities 🥰
How I made this cullar top
I have a Dutchess material 2"yards
I proceed to lay the fabric and fold the length part by two and begin with the measurement I have.
Burst 36
Waist 33
Hip 42
Blouse length 26
Half length 18
Breast point 10.5
Shoulder 16
Sleeve 18
Round sleeve 15,13
Upper arm circumference 19
I measure the shoulder divided it by 2
Measure the armhole length which is 7.5"
Measure the body measurements divided by 4( burst waist and hip) added 2 inches to them for seam allowance
So I use the front part to cut out the back part which I added zipper allowance of 1.5" to the centre
Cutting of the neck
I used 6 inches for the depth of the front neck and 3inches for the widness, V neck shape
The back neck I used 1.5inches for the depth and 3 inches for the widness (round shape)
Sewing
I cut facing for the front neck
I leave 3inches from the shoulder of the neck at the both side and I proceed to turn the remaining part
joining of the shoulder together and the body measurements and fix the Zip.
The neck
After joining all I measure what I have from the point I begin the turning of the neck to the back neck which is 9" inches for the both side i.e from the zip allowance round the neck to the 3 inches I leave before turning the front neck
So I cut out 1.75" inches folded for the height and the 9"inches I measure earlier for the widness
After that I added Gum stay to it full and iron it out.
I shaped the edge of the front side to make it round
Cutting of Sleeve
I cut the first part of the sleeve which I use 9 inches + 1 seam allowance for the length and I measure the round sleeve the cut it out
The second part
The full length is 18, I used 10" inches for the first part so the remaining for the second part is 8"inches and added 4 inches extra to it at the length because of the puffy I want to make it and I make it wife by 35inches
Then I cut straight lining of the exact 8" inches length and the round
Sleeve measurements which is 13 + 2inches joing allowance
So the 35 inches I make gathers at the two edge( up and the down) then place it on the straight lining have cut. Because the straight lining is shorter than the main one it will curve it in and puff
Then I proceed in sewing the round sleeve measurements from upper to the down.
Then I fix it to the Body
The top is ready.
Thanks for reading through.
